Missing the Past

Man, I miss the old days when everything was more entertaining, working was easier, standards were lower. Not to mention that I (or we, if anyone relates) was happier in general, even despite things being far from perfect. But now? It feels as if everything must reach a much higher bar.

So, is this just a sign of aging, or is this something more societal, or perhaps is it more personal?

I feel like even YouTube's algorithm reflects this change. Lots of content that just doesn't hit the same, and videos about the state of the world/society lately pop up constantly in high numbers.

@BusyBird Hey there! You're definitely not alone in feeling this way. I, too, miss my past sometimes. Things were just simpler in the "old days". 😂 Or so it seemed. Granted, I'm 35+ in age but still. Life was definitely different and easier then. I think it's normal to miss a younger version of ourselves and who we once are. We age and we are constantly changing as we do, after all. All I can say is just try and be ok with the you are and be happy with you. I'm sure you're just fine and trying to do your best. Hope you are well. ❤️

@YourCaringConfidant Ohhh yes it probably sounds a bit sillier coming from me who is in my late 20's 😅 I feel there has been a pretty massive change even since five years ago. Although, a lot has happened in my life since then, so I don't know if it's happening to everyone else the same way. But I hear you, and I hope you are also happy with who you are now. 😌🩷

@BusyBird It doesn't sound silly to me no matter your age. Change is inevitable and it happens. I think it's the same for us too. Hey, so much can happen in 5 years! Compare 5 years ago to your now. Seeeeee??? 👀 And then compare your now 5 years from now. More change. ❤️
