35+ Community National Grief Awareness Day

Today is National Grief Awareness Day, but that feels like a bit of a misnomer. When you’ve experienced loss, it doesn’t come packaged neatly into a single day of the year – you’re aware of its shadow every single day. Its reminders are everywhere. You can’t quite escape.

it’s important to note that there are so many different kinds of grief, and there’s no right or wrong way to grieve. Some people are OK, but that doesn’t mean they don’t care. Others feel the loss so deeply that it might be a newly listed disorder: prolonged grief disorder.
