I think this is totally normal. It's natural for us to interpret things from our own viewpoint. But you are right, we should be careful in basing decisions solely on our default point of view and this post is a good reminder of that. Thanks.
Maybe I misinterpret you, but, I'm not so convinced of the value in stopping ourselves from doing this. A wise person once told me that as soon as you try to stop a behavior, you make the whole situation more tricky. And I've found this to be true. So, for me, the thing is not to try to stop it, but to be aware I'm doing it and make sure that I'm adding in the other point of view(s), as appropriate.

ASD makes the whole 'misunderstanding' thing worse rip.
Sometimes I have a tendency to say things that could easily be interpreted as rude, when I'm not explicitly being rude or immature, or at least not being rude for the sake of being rude/immature for the sake of being immature, often times it's me misanalysing a situation, or not analyzing my own behavior and the effect my own actions are having on someone which, thanks to my lack of social skills happens-
