The World Health Organization (WHO) indicates that globally about 1 in 3 (30%) of women worldwide have been subjected to intimate partner violence in their lifetime. Worldwide, almost one third (27%) of women aged 15-49 years who have been in a relationship report that they have been subjected to some form of physical and/or sexual violence by their intimate partner. (Source: https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/violence-against-women) Though most statistics relate to female victims affected by intimate partner violence, men, teens, and those in the LGBTQ+ community are also victims. In fact, anyone can be a victim of intimate partner violence.

The PURPLE RIBBON tells everyone that you stand against domestic violence and that you will speak out to stop violence against women and their children.
