National Vision Board Day!

What is a Vision Board?

A Vision Board is something that shows your hopes and dreams in a visual way. It can be used to remind you of your goals, and shows you your direction and next steps to achieve what you want. All in all, creating a Vision Board can really change your life!

What do I need?

Something to call your 'board'. A scrapbook, a sheet of heavy cardboard, a wall chart, or even a whiteboard. You can use anything you have to hand. Perhaps create a small one by drawing your items in a journal.

What do I put on my 'Vision Board'?

Anything! Anything that helps you to visualise your goals, shows you the way to take next steps, so for instance:-

Lists!

⭐️ Could be a 'To-do List' show each step along the way. Show what you need to do next, which baby step you need to take to move you along your path towards your next goal.

⭐️ What about a list of 'pros and cons'? Good points about where you are, points that show what you need to change.

⭐️ List what you want to achieve, or things you would like to have or work towards.

Timelines
- Use pictures or drawings and graphs or line to show where you are and where you want to go and the steps in between.

- Make sure that your timelines are achievable, are they realistic, are they something that you could do, perhaps at a stretch but possible.

Words

- Write your words BIG and something that you can see from a distance so that every time you look at your Vision Board they leap out at you and stick in your mind

- Choose words that MOTIVATE!

Inspire Yourself

- Fine quotes that inspire you!
- Cut out pictures of places you want to be
- Write the names of people that can help you on your way

Once your Vision Board is finished then put it somewhere that you will see it every day, somewhere obvious that you pass by so you can take a look frequently.

Why not create one for work and one for home each with different goals and visions.
