Bad married life
Hi ! Is anybody going through a bad married life here like me ? I am 39 female . My husband is making me more and more depressed each day ..I feel lonely , it might sound simple here but this is becoming severe for me now
@Agni05
You are NOT alone .... there are many in the same shoes..... each day we get depresses angry and lonely.... sometimes just talking about it helps....
WE do not do that always because people say "leave" ...... like it is that easy ... sometimes it is not financial wise or if kids etc are involved....
They do not understand unless they have experienced it either. Even when some have had small things they do not get it until it hits them..... the everyday things sometimes are just too much....
Yes, I am going through a divorce at age 38. It is tough, but now I feel at such peace now that I left.

You are not alone. My marriage is a shambles. My depression and low self-esteem have worsened over the years. I stayed for my children because I felt that they would have a better life (a roof over their heads, food, medical, etc.). But, now I wished that I had the courage back when they were younger to leave. All of us have suffered mentally and emotionally. Now I feel trapped here. Two of my kids are still at home. They are reluctant to leave me alone with my husband. They don't think of him as "dad" anymore. Now, I feel empty. The things that were keeping me going are not as important now. I haven't been happy for a long time. I don't take any enjoyment out of life. I have no desire to do anything. I am only working part-time. I know I need to find a better job to support myself, but I can't even summon the strength or courage to do so. The worst thing is, he doesn't think his drinking is a problem. He thinks the only issue with our marriage is that I am being difficult. I go through the minimum motions every day, but I won't be able to keep this up for very much longer.
I know that my depression will not improve until my home life does. But, it is very difficult to make the decision to leave.
I advise you to take a good look at your life. What are the pros and cons? Will the situation get better if you stay? Is there a possibility your relationship will improve? Do you have kids? Think about what is best for them and you- physically, mentally and emotionally. I advise you to do this before it is too late.
Same here dear.
Girl you are not alone. Same boat.
@Agni05 I feel the same
Very similar story here. I feel incredibly lonely.
I get the blame for so many of our "problems" but he refuses to acknowledge that it's his addiction to blow that is literally blowing everything up.
I've had several bouts of depression throughout my life, but nothing compared to this. This empty feeling inside. Sometimes there seems to be a little respite, a glimmer of hope for things getting better but then I discover more lies and I just fall deeper than before. Self-esteem is shot. Things that brought me joy and hope in the past just seem meaningless now.
And yeah, would be great to just up and leave. If it was that simple... I'd do it. It's never that simple.
In the same boat with you. I got great advice about learning to put myself first and I'll go a step further and say learn to love yourself more than you love your husband. I found this app because as I cried and explained how lonely I was, my husband suggested I come here rather than try to comfort me. It hurt but I'm actually glad I did.
Sending strength to you ❤️ And the courage to look inside your heart and meet your deepest desires and needs. Because no one could make us unhappy but ourselves, we simply avoid to face the truth sometimes and accept our desires.
@Agni05 If you wanna talk or just vent, I will be happy to listen
