I am 43 and I don’t have any friends. I lost all friends when I left my home town in 2021😢

Sorry to hear that, but it quite often happens, when you move. We have many people. On here, who would love to be friends. Just reach out.

@Naturepixie81 Im so sorry. It seems like you are lonesome for human companionship, arent you?

@Naturepixie81

I meet a lot of friendly people through free local organizations.

Pretty much any town with an identifiable "downtown" has Meetups, affiliation clubs, activist groups, etc, where like-minded people can find one another.

Whatever hobbies you enjoy or topics you care about, there's probably others with the same interest nearby.

@Naturepixie81  We are the same age basically, and when I left my hometown to travel, I lost all my good friends. Then when I settled, I met new friends but found that they weren’t friends at all. I cut all the “bad” people from my life and found myself alone. So I understand, but here, I found at least a small support system to get me through. I’d be your friend if ya want! Here you’ll find some good people. 💪🏽🤙🏽

I hope you can have the opportunity to make new friends or try to reconnect with your friends from your home town at a distance.

It can be hard to be in a town without friends. What are you into? Any way you can make some local friends?

7cups is actually a good place to make friends. Maybe you can make some friends in the forums or by connecting with a listener.

@walkalot speaking only for myself (not naturepixie) I enjoy the time I spend on 7 Cups and similar sites, but I couldn't call someone a "friend" if I don't know their name & history, and haven't spent time with them up close in person.

@FrankieNospam

Sure, that's fair enough. Some people share their first name on here, and if you talk to someone regularly, you can learn more about their background. But meeting in person doesn't happen, so I understand why you wouldn't call people on here friends.

I’m sorry you’re feeling this way, but I’m glad you’re sharing it here. Losing connections can be so painful, especially when you’ve made big changes. I want you to know that it’s okay to feel this way, and you’re not alone in this. Building new friendships takes time, and it’s brave of you to open up about it. Maybe starting with small steps, like joining communities or hobbies that interest you, could help you meet like-minded people. You deserve those meaningful connections, and they will come in time. You’ve got this! 💙

It's so relatable, I also moved from my hometown and can't make new friends where I live in now, it feels lonely
