finally, the horizon has doors open wide
exploring the meaning of living at all sides
smiling with promises and not trying to hide
the joy that appears in the face of a broken tide
expanding their hands to hug you with pride
slipping into the beauty of a massive slide
that will light up a heart that was once blind.

May you all heal in the time and pace you feel you need.
May you heal in the time you are ready to heal.
May you heal and be the best version of yourself. Amen

Thank you for writing this. It is beautiful. My interpretation:
You don’t need to hurry the healing process.
When the time is right for you, things will begin to open up again.
Joy will return—even if you’ve been broken before.
And when it does, it’s okay to let yourself receive it.

Thank you for sharing this. It feels hopeful to me, like moving through pain and finally seeing new possibilities open up. Healing happening in its own time, without force or pressure. It’s warm, encouraging and something many can relate to.

Oh dear, I've never really appreciated poetry, I can't cut it with a scalpel or heat it over a Bunsen burner 😉

I'd say you nailed it! And what bravery to share yourself in that way with a bunch of randos who could judge your work. I've heard that poetry is the highest form of human expression. Though I'm going to split hairs here, I would say songs (in particular, ones with lyrics) are a combination of poetry and music. I suppose you'll have to learn piano or guitar if you TRULY want to eclipse 😄
