In the miserable

In May, a friend and I rescued a paralyzed cat. We took it to the vet for treatment. Afterward, it became clear that my friend didn't want to help. Whenever we discussed it, she'd say things like, "I'm busy, can you and the cat treatment wait?" So I pushed her away. But when I asked her to help a little with the expenses, she started scolding me.

We argued, she blocked me, so did her boyfriend. We were in the same friend group. Then, they boycott me and started a new group chat. They immediately went out together and post on social media. I have to open social media to I need to update about the cats, so I would click on theur stories.

It's just helpless because everyone else in the group thought it didn't matter who was right or wrong, as long as they could went out and have fun. They're like "it's just you and her's matter, we don't care" and "Just focus on the cat" It felt like a hole opened in my heart. I'm sad and angry and disappointed. I was also a little depressed. I hadn't go for a doctor, my family doesn't allow me.

Back to the cat, I found out she was pregnant. Fortunately, the C-section was successful, and she delivered two babies. Right now, I'm so tired. If putting them to a shelter, they won't be able to treat her legs, which means she'll be paralyzed forever.

I just graduated from high school and should be going to college. My family and friends keep putting pressure on me. They say "time is running out"'. My friends are all studying and working (I'm still applying for jobs), and I've kind of decided what to study. But I can't because I'll be super tired. I can't live near university, so I have to drive. It's far, so I have to get up early, settle the cats before I go out. Then when I get home, I have to clean up after them. You know, a paralyzed cat and two baby kittens. (Took almost one hour tidy everything) I'm still teaching the kittens on how to use the litter box.

What should I do? Someone might suggest putting them in a shelter, but as I mentioned, I don't want her to be forever paralyzed, any shelter will definitely not bring her to treatment. It's hard. I don't have anyone to support me. But thankfully, my mom is helping with the expenses.

Even though these friends are toxic, but we still have fun together in the past. I'm going to a concert with a friend in the friend group in a few weeks (The one who called me to just focus on the cats) We bought the tickets months ago. Like should I go? I like do love their music..

Do anyone have this similar situation...or just, talk to me

It sounds like you really love rescuing cats, and it sounds like a lot of people are giving you a lot of advice and pressuring you...Try not to listen to anyone else - if you aren't ready to study yet, if you want to keep the cat and care for it, try and follow your own way of being.

It's really sad the friend group sounds very unfair. Maybe you will meet some more friends who understand you better and appreciate your choices.

It's really nice you care about saving animals, it's not something just anyone can do, it's a special role.
