@SimleWithHope feeling the energy shift between you and the man you love
@Inception78 How ?
@SimleWithHope loneliness is not having people to share the good and the bad points if your day with, someone to laugh with, someone to ask how your day was. Loneliness is also being surrounded by people but always feeling unseen.
Loneliness comes from lack of inclusion, acceptance, understanding and appreciation from others.
@SimleWithHope Lonliness to me is not having friends who actually care about you, or check in with you to see how you are doing. I lost many friends due to "life stuff" like them having kids and getting married.
My boyfriend is more concerned with other stuff than myself as well and I cannot ask him for help because I get shut down (much like myself growing up at home) so I have learned over time to just not have issues, even though he told me if I wanted help, I can phone him or ask at any time (which is not true).
@batgirl1234 I also don't really have parents as I was emotionally abused and mentally abused (and continued to be abused - thank god I don't live with them anymore), so I cannot ask them for care or real help either.
I need parental figures, but have none.
@SimleWithHope something that comes when you realize the truth that no one cares
Thats right where Im at today :(
being around a bunch of people and not feeling connected to anyone and crying on the inside while smiling on the out side

@SmileWithHope
What a meaningful yet complicated question that sparked millions on nuerons in my brain !
Since plato and aristole we all been wondering what is loneliness, I dont feel im the expert on such a topic but i know what my heroes thinks and i cant help it but share, so ill share what they wrote and you can be the judge.
One of my favorites ( Carl Jung ) wrote:
“Loneliness does not come from having no people around you, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to you.”
The cheif spokes person of human emotions (Dostoevsky) In (Notes from Underground ) wrote: “The greatest happiness is to know the source of unhappiness.”
I believe he saw loneliness as an internal spiritual crisis, where the individuals confronts themselves.
The founder of spychological analysis (Freud) linked loneliness to repressed emotions and "unmet" needs from early childhood ( like he always do ) and wrote:
"Loneliness emerges when the ego is unable to find satisfaction in relationships, leading to inner conflict and emotional withdrawal"
My favorite poet ( Allan Poe )wrote in a very sad yet beautiful poem titled "ALONE" :
“From childhood’s hour I have not been / As others were—I have not seen / As others saw...”
I like to believe he saw loneliness as a feeling of being different and misunderstood.
One of the greatest mind to ever write ( Jean-Paul Sartre) Was an existentialist, he believed loneliness is an inescapable part of the human condition.and worte:
“*** is other people.”
I believe Sartre meant that even in company, we could feel alone.
A person very dear to me once said :
" loneliness is the space between connection and understanding, its not being alone, its not being seen"
Please share the answer that resonated with you the most as i hope i didnt confuse you with such response. Best wishes
