Looking for friends
Not sure where to start. I am looking for hopefully long time friends on here. I'm 35. Disabled so I have a hard time doing things. I also suffer from depression.
I also get attached easily and hurt easily which I'm working on.
When I'm not as depressed I like playing video games, drawing, watching tv. I do like going out, just prefer to go with friends.
As a friend I always try to be there.
I love animals, especially cats and foster them.
Right now I'm grieving my cat Hopper, and I feel so alone. I also realized I love hugs from people.
I've always been socially awkward, so I'm hoping to improve and even make friends near me down the line. (Not sure where to start near me if you know good places please let me know)

They are always moody right 😅 there used to a stray kitten who grew up around our house and would sneak into our bed at night. I would get startled feeling something warm and furry in sleep, waking up only to find the cat (named it baby 😅😀)

So far the kitten is doing well. No fights and very little hissing.
Physical therapy went well. I kept up my exercises from last time and he could tell. Took a nap afterwards though, was quite tired.

It is beautiful, the moon colour change when it's in full moon phase and maybe there are tricks to capture it with mobile, still researching about it 😅
It's a sunny day today, clear blue sky. My day went better. I'm into gardening, so trying to learn better practices of garden and how to deal with pest so on. Turmeric plant, rose which started to bloom and other plants which I will be adding onion peel liquid fertiliser. Do you like to garden?

It depends how many my insurance approves. So far twice a week, and they want to see me at least 18 times.
I've always loved looking at the moon. I've tried my camera but even it didn't do justice.
Today was 33 f and snowing. First of the year but none of it took. I do love gardening but not very good at it. Except my basil which took over my room as it grew outward of over 5feet. Got a good harvest from it. Most of my plants are going dormant for winter. So far in my yard grapes are still doing well. Royal Blackberries, thorn blackberries. And a tree with 3 different fruits, which should produce for the first time next year! My lavender didn't make it, and my other flowers got stolen by animals.
Today I went to get foster cat food. Now I need to clean the quarantine cages as I'm supposed to get a feral pregnant cat. Hope your day went well!

That really does sound like a full and meaningful day. I’m glad your nap helped you feel better, sometimes that bit of rest can change everything. It’s wonderful to hear she’s doing well, and I think socializing her more will definitely help when it comes to adoption events. You’re giving her such a great chance at finding a home.
It sounds like you have a lot on your plate with your appointments too. Twice a week is a good schedule, and it’s great that your insurance is supporting you through it. Eighteen visits might sound like a lot, but hopefully they’ll make a real difference and help you feel stronger each time.
I love that you take moments to appreciate things like the moon in this busy world. It’s one of those quiet things that always makes you pause, even when no camera can really capture how beautiful it is.
Your garden sounds amazing. A basil plant growing over five feet is so impressive, you must have taken really good care of it. I do have a basil plant in pot and its still small in size. The idea of having grapes, royal blackberries, thorn blackberries, and even a tree that grows three types of fruit is incredible. It must be exciting waiting to see it produce for the first time next year. I’m sorry about your lavender not making it and the animals stealing your flowers, that must have been frustrating after all your effort but at least it's not stolen by hoomans 😅

Thank you! I didn't know basil could grow so big lol. Yeah I can't wait! I should have written down what the tree has but forgot. I know I like the fruits it grows, but I like most fruit. It was so frustrating! I had some blue flowers that actually were growing. (Blue flowers often die on me before they bloom) They took the roots and all. I looked around my yard for them but nothing. Nothing but a deep hole were each flower was.

Yeah my roses are done for the winter, I'm surprised they lasted for years as I'm supposed to cover them but forget each time, until they are snow deep that is lol.
I so need to declutter. I'm hoping to sell some of the things but if I can't then I'll just donate. Garage sales at my location is more of a sneaky finger discount. So not worth it.

You’ve got such a peaceful vibe around your garden stuff, even with the missing flowers. I can’t believe someone actually dug them up though, that’s just sad. At least your grapes sound amazing, and that basil too, i think its big growing variety. it’s nice when things you grow surprise you like that.

I totally get what you mean about decluttering. Selling things can be a pain sometimes, and donating just feels easier. I hope you do manage to clear things out the way you want.

Thank you. Yeah, I'll be trying flowers next year, just finding the ones I had are misses as they normally only sell them in purple, which I also like. The grapes are! I had to put baggies on them since animals were eating all of them. I don't mind sharing but they eat most of them if I don't cover them. It could be, it's my first time growing basil so I didn't pay attention to what kind.
Lol yeah, I'm trying to find some cheap and preferably reusable covers. For my birthday I had gotten one of those blue roses. It really was blue! But a squirrel took off with it. Tore all the leaves off and everything. I actually saw the little brat. And chased it. The rose didn't survive. So now I know why they're called pests. If I get a rose like that again I'll have to find a way to protect it. The thorns didn't.
If I didn't need money I'd just donate.

Your garden stories always make me smile. I hope next year’s flowers go much better for you, and it’s good that you enjoy the purple ones too. And the way animals treat your grapes like an all you can eat buffet is funny and annoying at the same time. Good thing the baggies work or you’d be left with none. Even then I’m sure they will come up with a plan because they’re smarter than they look 😃
A blue rose though? That must have been really special, especially as a birthday gift. When was your birthday? It’s not easy to see one growing anywhere, so having it must’ve felt amazing.
That squirrel story actually made me laugh a bit. Watching it steal your blue rose right in front of you must have been so frustrating. It’s wild how something so rare and beautiful ended up becoming a squirrel treasure. Those roses look incredible, so you’ll definitely need some kind of protection next time. Clearly the thorns only work on humans 😅 those little ones must be using some kind of magic spell to avoid getting poked.
I completely understand why you chased it. Anyone would have done the same. It’s just sad the rose didn’t survive after you cared for it.

I'm glad they make you happy. I so hope the flowers work next year, I'll have to look into ways to protect them without endangering the animals. It is funny, but I'm like leave me a few lol. I'm sure they will. I thought of getting a greenhouse but one look at the prices I changed my mind. Plus some plants need the winter so I'm not sure if they'd thrive in a greenhouse or not.
In July. It was, my favorite color is blue so I loved it! I should have taken a picture bit was waiting for the blue bud to bloom. Hopefully they'll get more popular so I have a chance to get one again. Most blue roses are a pretty purple but this one was actually blue. It made me laugh too, the most frustrating part was that the plant died. The squirrel left all the other roses alone. Orange, red and white. Guess he/she just had the same taste as me in favorites. If I remember roses are actually edible and often used in tea.

She sounds like such a beautiful cat. Long black fur, the ear tufts, and that tail you mentioned… I can imagine how elegant she looks moving around the place. No wonder people will fall for her once she opens up fully.
I really hope your flowers work out next year too. It’s sweet that you want to protect them without harming any animals. And yeah, animals can be generous only when it’s convenient for them, the rest of the time they treat your garden like a buffet. A greenhouse would have been perfect, but the prices really are wild. Plus you’re right, some plants actually need winter to stay healthy, so it’s hard to know what would do well inside.
Blue being your favorite color makes that rose even more special. It must have looked amazing in person, especially if it was truly blue and not that usual purple shade most blue roses turn out to be. It’s a unfortunate the plant didn’t survive, especially when it was the only one the squirrel decided to steal. The fact that it ignored the other roses completely is funny though 😅 Maybe it really did have the same taste as you.
And you’re right, roses are edible and used in teas. Here it is used in sweets, drinks etc (non alcohol)
So who knows, maybe that squirrel had fancy taste buds 😄
