No Where Near Ready for Marriage.
I've been single for 12 years after suffering a lot of trauma, I'm also very shy and if things weren't already complicated enough, I also have a avoidant attachment style.
Theres a guy I'm into that I want to move forwards with but the more I want to and the more I try, the more I realise I'm just not ready for marriage.
At the same time marriage is all that I want and I have no idea how to bridge the disparity.
Does anyone know what steps are needed to start feeling ready for marriage?

There is no empirical way to know for sure. From my general experience, people either jump in and figure things out as they go, or they wait until they get some sort of moment that lets them know it's the right time. Relationships are complicated as are the people in them. If you truly want to be married, then you need to do some self-evaluation to determine what your hangups are and try to address them where you can by yourself and communicate and workshop it together with your partner where necessary.
