Feeling lonely, and confused
Hello, I’ve recently been talking to this guy that I have a crush on from online. We’ve been talking ever since I told him that I liked him. At first, he was sweet and nice to me but now, he’s been acting weird towards me, leaving me on seen. Yesterday, he got upset with me for not doing something he wanted me to do. He ended up getting irritated with me he said. He called me dumb, stupid, unintelligent, slow and talked about my mental breakdowns. I’ve been dealing with eating problems, sleeping problems, feeling numb inside and just my mental health in general. Him saying that stuff to me didn’t make it any better. I’ve been crying nonstop. I wish this pain would go away. He claimed he likes me back but this isn’t how you treat someone you like. I asked him recently was he interested in me to know for sure because I don’t want to have false hope. He won’t answer my question about if he likes me or not. It’s like he’s avoiding the question… I feel like leaving social media because my mental health it’s getting worse again. I’m trying so hard to not give up. Then on top of that, I don’t have anybody to talk to, I feel like I’m going insane. It would be very helpful if someone could me some advice or their opinion about this situation.
Please prioritise your health.
I think all the words he said to you were very harsh. I understand how it must have hurt coming from someone you consider close to you. I'm glad you have reached out here on this forum. Please feel comforted. There is no such thing as stupid. We are all learning. That's my belief. Mental health issues are no shame either just like any other health issue isn't - its something we as a society need to develop more understanding of and compassion towards.
Thank you so much, that means alot 🤍 I don’t know what to do, he’s making me so confused and keeps on avoiding the question I’m asking him. I already feel empty. Sometimes I wish that I don’t have any emotions at all because people always end up hurting me. I am a very soft and sensitive person, different tones in messages affect my mood and make me anxious that I worry so much I start shaking.
Hi, so sorry you are going through this… it really sounds to me like you need to find someone more understanding of you and who is supportive and caring individual. I can tell you have feelings towards him but I have to be honest with you and say it sounds like he isn’t returning that enthusiasm. You deserve someone who loves you and is supportive and I think you should reconsider his suitability for you because I feel you will find someone that lives you as much as you love them. Really hope you find that, and don’t waste your emotions and energy on trying to change someone. I hope this was helpful and wishing you the best of luck with everything and remember you are not alone 😊

It can be very hurtful once we see someone's true colors. Unfortunately, I have experienced this too and it can be very painful. It's not always easy to make healthy (and right) decisions for ourselves especially when our feelings and emotions are involved. We all want to experience deep meaningful connection, but if a situation becomes toxic or begins to negatively affect your mental health then you may want to take a step back and re-evaluate. This is just an idea---but sometimes it can be helpful to write down what you're experiencing so you can visualize the circumstances outside of your head. It sounds like a tough situation, but I would start with prioritizing your mental health and what you're able to control.

Hi!
I'm so sorry he said those things to you. Those are not nice things to say at all! When we have a crush on someone, we tend to glamorize them, BUT he's showing you who he really is so PLEASE get out of this, and do not, for one second, internalize what he said. You should definitely take care of your own health and get rid of anything that detoriorates it. If you can seek therapy, please do so.
You have the right to say no to not wanting to do things. He has no right to call you names for rejecting his request. My goodness.
Please take care of yourself. I know how hard it can be to not have anyone to talk to. You've got us here so you're not alone. Even if you ever feel alone, as cliche as this might sound, be the person you want, for yourself. Don't let go of yourself and hand it over to someone else.
Take care!!
Hey @strwberryhearts I'd rather be alone than be with someone who treated me like that. I hope you're ok. You can get support here.

I think that everything he said about you is definitely a huge redflag. If he can't like you for the way you are then he isn't the one for you. but im sorry this is happening to you.
@strwberryhearts Hi. I’m sorry he is treating you this way. If you ask yourself, would you choose to be treated like this on a regular basis? Even once is too much. He doesn’t seem to know how to interact with a woman on an honest basis. He may believe that being a prick is what attracts women. You don’t deserve this, and if I were you, I would drop communication with him. There are plenty of guys more deserving. Don’t give your heart away so easily. If someone is worth your time they will ALWAYS treat you with respect. He 100% disrespected you by calling you names! Now it’s time to recover from this bad feeling. You deserve to be happy and have supportive and loving relationships.
— All the best

He will in any case leave you, at least one still retains his honor
