Daily Challenge - Aug 28 2018 - Laughter
Hello everyone, I hope you all had a nice day so far.
Today I like to bring up the topic "Laugh" again.
When we become older our social contacts might get less for different reasons. We are not triggered to laugh as much as before. Here is what I recently read
Laughing lowers the stress hormone cortisol. According to a study conducted in 2014, 20 minutes spent watching funny videos helped improve the memory in seniors. Some research also shows a link between happiness and lower risk of heart illness. So, laugh as much as you can because laughter really is the best medicine.
My question for today:
How often did you laugh today and what are you doing to make yourself laugh?

@amiablePeace77 I think laughing is very important. I try to find the funny side of everything. I have to be careful that the other people IRL are on the same page as far as humor. Here on 7cups I am more careful about humor because text chat is harder to be sure that others will see you are trying to be light and not being sarcastic and hurtful.
So if I do make funny comment then always use emoticons :D

@amiablePeace77 I think being able to laugh at misfortune is the biggest survival tool there is. Sometimes, in the middle of a bad situation that isn't life threatening, I tell myself what a hilarious story it's going to make later on when I can put it in perspective.
Last night I had a great laugh over something that wasn't bad... just funny! I rescued a tiny baby rattlesnake. The tiny ones are difficult to pick up safely, so I use a gallon plastic water jug on a stick I put a little foam pad in to make it comfy and most baby rattlesnakes just curl up on it happily. So... I carried this one off the road and up a ridge to release him. It was dark and I needed my flashlight for my footing, so there was no light on the rattley. Assumed the baby was still curled up in the baby catcher. Finally got high enough on the ridge, but the ridge burned recently, and there wasn't much cover, so I started looking around for a good spot -- paying no attention to the little danger noodle in the "babycatcher." When it suddenly occurred to me to check on him, I turned my head and my light, and there he was, barely hanging on to the top edge of the babycatcher, stretching out as far as he could, with his little head about 3 inches from my face, just glaring at me like, "I hate you so much right now!" Oops.
@Rattles for me me that
@Rattles Great story and thank you for sharing! Humor sometimes really is the best medicine!
I probably laughed lightly maybe a few times yesterday. It has been a couple months since I laughed hard.
@Zengrl
Glad you can laugh a bit. What makes you usually laugh hard?
This is a link for a funny talking animals video, I watch them occasionally to make me smile, hope it works for you too.

@amiablePeace77 I know my husband listens to that same announcer in your video frequently. 😄 I did find a funny video today that was an
Incidentally, I am married to the funniest person I know. He keeps me laughing. Today? At least 3 times, and I mean three times that included one, "Please stop you are making my stomach cramp!" mashup! I am a truly blessed woman.
@JolivetteListens sounds like a match made in heaven!

@amiablePeace77 Thanks 🙏
@JolivetteListens why are you here? It a question, not a judgment.
@Lauren63
What on earth are you talking about?
Why am I here, you ask?
Why are you here?
If my laughter offends you then perhaps a Listener may be of help to assist you in processing your feelings. Its very important not to attack others on the 7Cups platform.
