The last thing I did that made me proud is helping at the food bank and helping the new square dancers at the beginning B51 class learn steps during class.

Going out for dinner with my girlfriend. I talked with her about her Zen group, and she got very happy and excited about it. She even told me that she had never felt this way about a man before.

@DanaMH helping people here at 7cups gives me a feeling of self esteem and self worth.

Whats the last thing you did that made you feel proud of yourself? Why did it make you feel this way?
I treated myself to a day of getting my nails and hair done. I do this every first of a month it is my time to make me feel pretty

That sounds relaxing I always enjoy getting my hair done. I had a massage on Monday which was so relaxing.

Dana, I did an important call today which I kinda postponed for a while because the topic was very difficult for me, turned out it was all okay and I think I'll get managed what I have to. I was very proud.

I talked to a listener here at 7 cups. It was a good chat. Havent done that for a while.

i got out of bed today before the day was over. I faced the world and filled out some job apps. It was a total waste of time, because of the govt shutdown. No dept of homeland security to verify that i yam who i say i yam! I went to the darned depression chatroom which is not helpful here at least not for me. So I shall post here that I feel proud of my effort today.
@Chickadee123 you should be proud of what you did today. I know so many people didnt get paid today because of the children in the govt. Im sorry.

Sorry to hear that folks weren't there to help. You can always go into the 35+ Room also. We talk about all sorts of different things in that room. You should be proud of what you did do today thou. Hugs

That is great that you found a listener that you could reach out to and talk to them. Hope you feel that you can reconnect to them also if you would like to in the future also. Finding listeners that we connect to and can help is really important. I know I found a few that I like to talk to myself.
@DanaMH I took cold & flu meds & hygiene products to the homeless shelter. I did it because why should they not have their basic needs met same as mine are met.

Hey that's an idea that I really like mutter. I am sure that it relieves some of their suffering that would not otherwise be addressed. I used to buy up hats and gloves at the end of the season clearance sales to donate the next winter. Got away from stable income past two years and had to stop. But I am going to remember your thoughtful donations and hope to do here when my boat floats again.
That I got myself the help that I needed. I'm very proud of myself for putting myself back together and my life together.
