Today I like to share a story with you about finding beauty where you never expected it.

Once I walked down a road which wasn’t particularly nice but I had to take it to get where I wanted. There were lots of big rocks at the side of the road and it looked kind of dirty so usually I wouldn’t pay any attention to my surroundings but focus on my destination. However, this day I realized that there were patches of rocks on which the most beautiful flowers grew, not roses or tulips, no, wild flowers but presenting themselves in an amazing beauty. The days before we had rain so I guess mother nature nurtured them and they could open up and give everyone passing them a joyful feeling, it surely happened with me. The plants, however, have always been there, all the times I passed them but I never made the effort to look closely enough to see what kind of beauty I might find there. So from that day on, each time I take this road and others I look out for it and it’s a miracle to me how much there is.
