I think learning other languages gives one new cultural views just like traveling can do also

Yes, mostly. Growing up with two languages is great; three might be a bit much for those near the lower end of average, but the intellectually gifted can handle it. In today's interconnected world, knowing just one language could almost be called a sign of provincialism...unfortunately that is typical of most of us Americans. Learning more than one language during one's formative years would certainly help to boost one's intelligence & ability to learn--that's always a nice advantage to have.

I would not say should. That being said i think its good if they have time. There are infinite other things to learn as well. Besides they already have digital translators which will only get better with time. I see a point in the future where language barriers no longer exist.
