50+ Weekday Check-in April 2nd, 2019
Hi there. WInter is over. I am coming out of "hibernation". I am not a grumpy bear but a well rested one.
Spring for me is like a whole new cycle of life beginning. Soon everything will turn green. That gets me thinking about my old routines. Which ones serve me well? Which ones are time to change?
For me I am going to find more ways to expand avenues to other people. Those are important to me feeling connected to others. Even if it is only in small ways, this might help.
How do you feel as Spring appears?
What changes are you contemplating?

@soulsings Thanks for this!
Spring, especially the flowers, was very interesting. For now, its already summer-ish where I am!!
The days are already longer, more tired at university, so have to try introduce periods of rest in between. The evening and morning breeze is very refreshing.
Hope everyone has a great spring season if not gone like for myself!!
Your wings already exist, all you need to do is fly!
@SoulfullyAButterfly thanks for giving us a preview of summer!
Love those flower "bullets" to start your answers.
Here is a way that helps me rest by listening to the ISM short videos a couple minutes: https://www.7cups.com/forum/MindfulnessCenter_106/ResourceLibrary_1062/MindfulnessRelaxingGuidedMeditations2016_53878/
Just one is like a mini vacation.
@soulsings I am only happy to give you all a warning!
I am glad you like my butterfly bullets. Butterflies are yet a lovely spring and summer addition.
Thank you for this lovely resource as well.

@soulsings - hi, I'm new in this community (my growth path just encouraged me to join another one and this one felt right for my creaky bones).
Spring always lifts my mood and inspires me with nature's endless ability to renew itself.
I am trying to eat better and get more exercise into my life. Lately I have noticed I feel best after I have done some activity and I want to feel that way more often.
@kindofblue welcome to 50 plus where you regularly hear creaky bones
but we do welcome anyone that is interest in the midlife issues we discuss.
I am glad you find exercise helpful. I am doing 5-8 hours of classes plus more on my own of exercise. Here are some Qi Gong links that are like Tai Chi in a static posture. Standing https://youtu.be/aAwbJ9MO91I and sitting https://youtu.be/Zysx0FCqacI If you have infirmities that keep you from normal exercise then you ought to check with your doctor or physical therapist to make sure these are okay for you. Adrienne does a lot of yoga classes for free online this is the most basic https://youtu.be/v7AYKMP6rOE but they have over 50 others that are longer and more challenging.

@soulsings - thank you, thank you!
It's a time of renewal and rejuvination. I say goodbye to the past and while embracing the present, allow the futre to make itself known to me.
Spring makes me exhausted. There is a lot of stuff to do around the yard and house. Hard to get around because tourists start coming back. Never complain about tempitures going up though. Rather run the AC than the heater. Have a good evening.
It's spring and summer all round the year for me as I live in a tropical country. Right now I am contemplating about continuing my exercise classes or learn how to swim as I am just recovering from a back injury.
I guess everything stopped here. So its hard. And everyone stopped talking . Thanks.
@soulsings
Spring is the most energizing time of the year for me, it feels like waking up from a deep sleep. Although, where I live, we do not have strong season changes I still can feel the differences very well.
A change I am contemplating is on fulfilling my needs and not always put them far back at the end of the line, doing things in my free time which make me feel more connected to the outer world which is not a big need but still a need.
