Good mood? Music and Tai Chi!
@soulsings
Nice soul, any particular type of music?
@amiablePeace77 I usually go for one of these https://www.7cups.com/forum/MindfulnessSupportCommunity_106/ResourceLibrary_1062/RelaxingMusicandVideosformindfulness_121002/1/#2157341
@amiablePeace77
Good mood, some walk in the environment then some music n a cup of coffee 💖
@amiablePeace77
I like proofreading!
Hey all, is there anyone who is personally good at walking a person (me in this case) through the steps involved in big, hairy (personal but profession-oriented) projects? I have a lot of bucket list projects that sit undone and I'm at a loss for how to approach them in a systematic, meaningful, day to day way. I work alone because I cannot afford to pay for a team. I struggle with getting and staying organised with all there is to do. I have few manageable, small milestones so find it impossible to check-in and proudly state that any relevant work has been accomplished. It's frustrating. Any ideas or thoughts for getting a real, sustainable system in place for myself? One that will help me see a project through from start to publishable finish?
@azureBalloon6704
Sorry to hear that your work is overwhelming atm. I can imagine how frustrating it must be not knowing where to start.
Here are some links which I hope will help you

We also have discussions about coping with work stress, January 31, Friday 5:00PM EST Coping with Work Stress, room 50+.
What are some things you do to to relax in between your work?
Dear @amiablePeace77, @oel , ... and frankly all the 50+ community who, as a group, plays their supportive part.
Since I wrote last Tuesday, pressing forward to solve some of my open issues, I have:
* found another active, online creative writing community that I like very much. I get/give lots of support for creative work and for the learning of the craft
* been writing, creatively and contextually, between 1000 - 2000 words daily (which has helped lighten my psyche tremendously)
* now READING fiction far more than I watch/stream series and films; and that is also a huge change for me
* returned to walking near-daily for about 50-60 minutes per day
Related to my paid work: I sent a formal Evaluation Questionnaire to my clients consisting of 11 required questions; mostly YES/NO to keep it easy and fast for them, and to encourage "no excuses".
The results of this survey will help me decide which clients to work with starting Jan. 2020. I have decided to release the others to favour unpaid-but-beloved work. This choice is also a huge relief to me (and will probably be to some of them.)
Because of the kind attention (and the cool dashboard) here on 7 Cups, my stress levels reduced enough that I could take these steps rather than spinning out into some self-blame, shame game. So I want to send a big shoutout thank you to this 50+ community - and to 7 Cups generally - for that support.
Hello 50 somethings! Hope your Xmas was good. I am 53 and Australian, living in Spain. Not picking up the language very easily. Here with my partner and cat and dog. Renitng out our upstairs for AIr B&B. I do a bit of online work. I am missing my late mother and Sydney. Get homesick sometimes. Are you all in the USA?
@SassJane Hi nice to meet you. I am 59 and live in the US. there are people from different countries here including Australia.
@SassJane
Hi and welcome to our community
. People on this site come from all over the world, we have listeners and members also from Australia. I hope you will find the support you are looking for. Moving to a different country is a big step and it takes time to adjust and feel good in the new country. I too left my country of birth and moved elsewhere.
This is a link where you can find listeners from Australia, those who are able to be here despite the awful fires.
checking in not much to say, life is good for the most part
@scarletPear1945
scarlet, thanks for checking in and glad to hear that life is mostly good
@amiablePeace77
How are you? I just want to say thanks again for all you do and all the support you provide. I have been here since 2017 and you have still been here providing us help and encouragement.
Thank you so much for your dedication
@scarletPear1945 I second that appreciation
amiablePeace77 you are the best host to work with and so reliable!
