HAPPY FRIDAY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE
Today I like to share with you a video link for a brief meditation
Love Yourself (Self-Confidence Exercise)
Human need to feel love, without we will wilt like flowers without water. I believe the love which keeps us functioning well and makes us enjoy life comes from the inside and not from the outside. Feeling loved by someone else is a wonderful feeling but the love we can give ourselves is more than wonderful, it is like the air we breathe, we need it. Self-love is not always something which comes naturally, often we have to practise it, learn it like a skill we learn.
I hope that this video will be of some help to you and would love to hear your thoughts about it.

I love meditation videos. They're very relaxing.
@amiablePeace77. Great video!
Having a rough weekend
@Healingcoraline I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that things get a little easier for you.

That was beautiful and definitely what I needed to start my day off on the right foot, thank you ❤️
I will be the first to admit, I am not always the kindest to myself. As is probably the case with many, negative self-talk finds its way to creep in to my head from time to time. Whether it be after not completing a task on my list on time, or responding to my daughter frustratedly after a long day, or after doing something I told myself I wouldnt do. Its the human in us to be critical and to either feel inadequate, or vocalize it to ourselves somehow. I cant count the amount of times Ive said You are such an idiot to myself. It wasnt until I was introduced to Brené Brown that I became even consciously aware of what I was doing—verbally abusing...myself. If someone were to say the things to me that I thought or said about myself, I would have had choice words but it came from me.
She said something in one of her TEDTALKs that really spoke to me, paralyzed me quite frankly. She said talk to yourself like someone you love.
The days after hearing Brenés words I became more mindful to my inner monologue and wow I was not kind to myself at all, I lacked compassion and gentleness, and most of all, love. I would never say those things to my family, or my daughter or anybody else I cared about but here I was, saying them to myself.
I started to become rreeeeallly mindful of my self-talk, constantly pausing to ask, would you ever say this or want anybody else to say this to tour child? Clearly the answer was no every time, and from there, I made it a habit that whenever I thought something negative, or whenever I was about to call myself the worst mom ever out loud (or any other insults) I would instead say something loving, or forgiving, allowing myself that grace and forgiveness to be less-than perfect.
Ive got a long way to go, as Im sure most do, but Ive realized that I am pretty amazing and there are more things to love about myself than not ❤️
@fddragonfly18211 I liked and found the video helpful also.The Brene Brown video sounds interesting. I will have to check it out. Thank you.
@fddragonfly18211
These are wonderful and helpful observations and I totally agree, we hardly would speak to others like we speak sometimes to ourselves - something which needs to be changed with practise, practise self-love as a skill.
talk to yourself like someone you love. - beautiful way to change your mind
