Well I was supposed to go to the Polk County Steak Fry this weekend dich is the political event of the season! All the candidates will be there doing their shtick. Everyone jockeying for position and having a good time while eating steak. It's a 4 hour ride there. I was going to ride with a friend but now she talked her boyfriend into going with but they want to leave the night before and get a hotel which leaves me either sleeping in the car or staying home. Which really would be ideal because then the boyfriend can use my unused ticket and they can text me all day about who says hi. I hate my life.

Ideally, dinner in a good restaurant, with single-malt Scotch before, wine with, and espresso with dessert; something involving dark chocolate. Since I don't get out much these days and have a limited budget, I'll usually stop with the single-malt unless someone else is buying.
For really extreme celebration, it's hard to beat the 9-course, 5-wine prix fixe dinner at the Herb Farm, in the Seattle area. If one of my kids is celebrating, they'll want sushi.

Love the idea about dinner particularly the desert with expresso, mmh, it's nice to get something already prepared once in a while.

I am definately not dreading the weekend. While I do not plan to celebrate, I do have several things that should be nice. A tea tasting tomorrow, and the whole weekend spent with my girlfriend. Should be nice.

How did the tea tasting go?
I had planned on rewarding myself for a rough week with going to the movies. Phantasm ,which scared me as a kid so I've got to see it again, with bottomless popcorn and Dr. Pepper. Unfortunately I'm to weak to drive. So browsing Amazon to see if it's available. If it is I'll have a phantasm party for friends. They must bring popcorn and Dr. Pepper❤

@amiablePeace77 I ordered all 5 phantasm movies from Amazon. Only $13. Much cheaper than the theatre. However they are in backorder but will be here for Halloween. So instead we watched Gone With The Wind,$2 from wal mart😀

that's a good deal to me. Gone with the wind - one of the most famous movies ever made.. I find those older movies have much more substance than lots of the newer action films. Hope you enjoyed it.

@amiablePeace77 - September 29 - so yesterday! My manicure was accompained by a pedicure and a massage!!! My pumpkin spice latte got turned into a frappacino because it was too hot outside to drink something hot!!
