Making decisions aforehand
Advance planning is always better than waiting until there is a problem. What steps of planning for your future are you on?
As we age we will face various hurdles that pre-plans might lighten the load if we have already done some of the work. Where do you see yourself 1 year from today?

Good question indeed! I would like to have finished a few things which are on my list, like making the outside of our home (garden etc.) more senior friendly, home is already, and have acquired more skills to offer good support here.

Good thinking and good planning. As we age there are things that we do need to begin to set up with the changes that come physically and mentally. Our home being one of our prime places to make ready and convenient for being able to make life as easy and stress free as possible.

With my current situation, I have been around the block many times and using the steps you provided I basically come back to 1 and realize my options are not there anymore.

@scarletPear1945 My health issues have taken a severe turn in the shortening of my lifes clock. Not much I can do about that . I have accepted the facts just struggling with everything else surrounding it.

I am sorry to hear about your health going bad. I have no idea how much that has to affect you. making decisions, are often very hard to do. What step on the Decision scale would you say you have reached? Being able to accept one's fate is major. Living life while we have it is also major. All of us have a time clock that has been set, let's agree to make the most of the time we do have🙏❤️
@scarletPear1945 I have accepted my fate just not the facts surrounding it. I’m trusting in the people here to help bring me peace mentally. I won’t be “healed” but to be at peace with myself I think will make the decisions I have to make a little bit easier. I struggle with the daily tasks, the exhaustion of trying to get thru the work days has me so drained, physically and mentally that I can’t get the motivation to do the dishes or clean the house, I rarely put anything away anymore. My house is a mess. I am living as a slob and that drives me nuts. I’m a very organized person….at least I used to be.

Anytime my friend. Have you got health insurance ? you can request a home Health care worker to come in and do some light house work for you. You need to ask your doctor to order the help.😊
Yes I have insurance, I don’t have a clue if it covers anything like that. Reality is my stubbornness will win out. I may be drained but as long as I’m able to go to work, I shouldn’t make cleaning up after me someone else’s problem.
the flip side of that is that those tasks still struggle to be completed.
