@amiablePeace77 It's doing whatever it takes to earn the trust, forgiveness, and respect back from the other person. It's putting pride to the side and admitting when we are wrong. It's fighting for the relationship. It's choosing that person time and time again and choosing to love and forgive without conditions. It's not just saying we're sorry, but show that we are. It's making those mends and trying to repair and heal a relationship that is fragile for whatever reason. But it requires 2 people to make it work. ❤️

What does repairing a relationship in a real and helpful way look like to you?
repairing a relationship to me always seems like a work in progress. Problems that break relationships often happen over time and fixes take time to see if the fix sticks. It is about speaking truth and listening deeply taking and giving constructive criticism.
What clear actions or how someone makes things right is needed to rebuild trust?
there is no one action that fixes all. only time will show if a person can make the adjustment and stick with it. I feel too many people act the part until they think their partner is satisfied and reverting back to their old habits or actions.

Being genuinely sorry for anything that caused any problems, being accountable for those actions and not repeating them. All this goes to the person in the relationship that’s responsible for this.

They can’t lie to me to save themselves. They need to be honest with me bc that’s one of the things that makes a relationship successful enough to last.

I really resonate with your point and I also want to add that mistakes are normal to make as everyone are human. However, the extent of forgiveness and to not repeat those are often what breaks certain relationships.

Thank you I really appreciate reading your input and you’re right no one’s perfect we’re all gonna make mistakes as that’s all part of being human. But that doesn’t mean they’ll make the same mistakes they apologized for on a regular consistent level. That’s what I meant and I’m sorry for not specifying it in my original comment as I should have.
