@amiablePeace77 Do you believe that in general seniors are less tech-savvy and eager to learn about new devices and technology, and if so, why? I have been plinking away on keyboards for 38 years so I must have learned something in that time.  lol

How do you feel about new technology?

I know they always have to develop new things to try to find better, more efficient ways of communication, trade, etc.  I don't like the way people assume that everybody automatically knows how to do everything with each new thing that comes along.  Some people seem to assume that we were all born with all the necessary skills to use all of the apps on our phones.  I don't know how to do anything, it seems.  "You don't have an app for that?"  They say.  Maybe I do.  I wouldn't know.  No one every told me. 

Each time something new comes along, they want to make it obsolete as soon as possible, so we all have to keep buying more and more stuff, get the latest thing.  They're in quite a hurry to market all of this nonsense and they never stop.  They had VHS tapes, then DVDs, then blu-rays, now 4K discs, and many others argue that physical media are obsolete.  We should all be streaming.  I don't know how to stream.

@amiablePeace77. . I do struggle learning at first some of the new technologies. I do appreciate the convenience they bring once I have learned them.

I'm a retired geek, I used to enjoy helping coding with the Linux community but after my thrombosis episodes I don't sit still long enough anymore and besides with SM, cloud and AI, if anything it is more user friendly and not as intellectually challenging as it once was.
