What is something you would have learned at school that was never taught?
If I can be honest, sex education. We didn't have it in our school. All we had was a one-hour talk when we were about 11 years old, and it didn't explain anything, especially regarding the male reproductive system. We were boys and we knew nothing about our own bodies. It still makes me mad.
If I had been better with my hands, I would have taken woodworking. I was too clumsy to feel safe around electric saws and other such tools. Our teacher in junior high school gave me a fear of losing fingers, hands, arms, etc., with his warnings. Now I don't know how to do anything.
I wish I had sex education at school too. I learnt about the body in a very slow, experimental way which just made me suffer a lot in fear and confusion. And Im a girl. In my culture, generally speaking, women's sexuality is taboo.

What is something you would have learned at school that was never taught?
I will say this, I was fortunate to go to a technical school and learn a lot back in the late 1970's early 80's.
Electrical, Drafting, Machine Shop, Small Engine, Auto Shop, Wood Working, Keyboarding etc...
These days most schools in my city no longer teach any trades, and I think it is a shame that today's younger generation don't get that same experience I had in school.
On the other hand, I could never get into a field I really liked. I stuck with 3 years of Drafting and Machine Shop but ended up never getting a job in either field.
Ended up taking some Computer courses and have been in IT since the dinosaur ages 😁

There were some good things about the old way of teaching for sure! Nice that you did not give up when you couldn't get a job but took computer courses! I bet you're an expert now in IT since you already learned it when Dinos were around! 😄

That intelligence comes in many forms and you can still be successful, not all about books 💜🥰

Good point! Some people are very successful because they are street smart not book smart.
