Hi Jeff, i hope you are fine. I am happy to hear that you search for peace. I once heard that, it cannot be found by searching but the finders of peace are only those who search for it. I hope you find it one day, i have found all answers to my questions and peace in Islam(literally meaning peace) belief. I totally respect you, your way of thinking and belief system, and really respect your noble search for it. Best wishes.💌

Not feeling at peace is one of the worst states of being to me. From the time I was a teen, maybe even before, I was looking for peace and thought that if the conditions around me were right I would find peace. How wrong! I found peace when I accepted myself and my surroundings. Occasionally my situation like with everyone else in this world is not as peaceful as wished but generally I'm at peace with myself now.

I understand that life is not peaceful with what it brings and I would love to find a peaceful life, instead of my chaotic life. Peace in life is my goal , to find a way to live daily peacefully. So if anyone finds it please share, and I will do the same.

I have been looking for a chat and found your discussion and was drawn in by all your comments. Thank you all.

I share your feeling Lucian9. I am a terminally positively oriented person, but I do confess that it gets physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting to have to work through one crisis, after another proverbial slap in the face, after another deception, after another hurt. I have not found that ultimate answer might keep me in peace or joy for an extended time yet, but I can tell you that I find momentary reprieves when I consciously focus my thoughts on trying to find the tiniest shred of gratitude, and then trying to trust in a universal force of love, regardless of how force may be named.

it’s ironic that it seems that finding peace may be a universal desire for humanity, yet it is we ourselves who create the absence of peace for each other.

Do you have a local pagan organization that you can join? Sometimes being around people with the same interests or beliefs can help you find some contentment.

I live in TN and I don't believe in organized religion... it's not for me. Being in the South, the Bible belt, it can be hard to find like minded people.
