🦋 What does "Thanksgiving" mean to me? Two days off of work, a long weekend. Turkey for dinner, somewhere. Me making some kind of treat. Feeling grateful for all the good things in my life, there are many. Home and hearth, friends and family, a good job, a woman who loves me as much as I love her, pets, many good things.

"Thank You" means to me expressing that I am grateful for what someone did, that I make the person understood that I realized that what they did was an act of kindness, that it is/was something important no matter how small the act was, it's also a way of showing love in my opinion.
@amiablePeace77 Hey Peace, thank you, no official holiday for me, but I loved the cupsgiving and thanksgiving vibes online! Thank you for sharing what "thank you" means to you: I so agree that sometimes, it helps point out that the smallest act means something very big and meaningful to us.

Thanksgiving means being grateful for what life brings my way. It helps me to learn and grow and be more than I dreamed was possible.

Artistic painted crust pie, wow, - eyes will have a lot "to eat" too. I always admire those extraordinary creations on tele. Are you painting or baking?

Im at IHOP right now....and its a madhouse of folks! Wait time is very long... but what else is there to do today? Games? I will do games...

Thanksgiving is just time off work. Anxiety because of the lack of structure. Loneliness and sadness at not having a gathering with extended family. I ate four slices of bread today. With butter, but just regular old sandwich bread. Thanksgiving. Probably means Im a disappointment to my kids.

throw the holidays to the curb, thats what I did. unless your a sentimentalist or a romantic then you will hold on to the good mermories... must folks do better if they do the opposite of my advice...
@plumFig3360 Hey Plum, sorry your holiday is so meh. I would start with adding some cinnamon and honey to that bread. You would be amazed how good that is! As for your kids, please dont imagine what they think because it may have nothing to do with the reality of the situation. Kids are usually into their own friends/games/bubble. Is there a friend you can call? Someone you can text? You always have us here and you can also chat with a listener. Think of yourself right now and what you would like. 💖
