The importance of regular health exams

Hello everyone!

It's always good to take care for health and having checks could become more important in elder age.

You can schedule an appointment with your health care provider to discuss what screenings and exams you need and when you need them.

Why are Check-Ups Important?

Regular health exams and tests can help find problems before they start. They also can help find problems early, when your chances for treatment and cure are better. By getting the right health services, screenings, and treatments, you are taking steps that help your chances for living a longer, healthier life. Your age, health and family history, lifestyle choices (i.e. what you eat, how active you are, whether you smoke), and other important factors impact what and how often you need healthcare.

enlightenedDo you have a good health care system to have them done?

enlightenedWould you plan to have check-ups in case you didn't do any?

@BeyondTheInvisible this is a great idea. I go to the doctor regularly and they are impressed how good a shape I am in. Must be all those exercise classes and good foods!

@BeyondTheInvisible

Thanks for bringing the importance of health checks to the attention of everyone.

Are you having regular check-ups?

enlightenedDo you have a good health care system to have them done? I do regular health check ups with my gp to cover the basics, apart from that i listen to my body, do self-checks and would ask gp if something feels weird.

enlightenedWould you plan to have check-ups in case you didn't do any? If I would not have I would get one for sure if possible.

Hi Lauren,

I hope you and Dave will get the blood pressure down. When i was in hospital some time ago my blood pressure was very high, i meditated for some time and when nurse came back it was almost okay. I know it might not work for everyone but to some people it can.

@DaveMcGrath someone told me they did those Qi Gong exercises regularly and it helped them relax and over time helped them manage their blood pressure.

Hey Dave, do you still practice the cooking like you explained in a post somewhere time ago?

Well, maybe you could ask to the doctor what food would help keep it low and if you cook then you can enjoy some healthy but tasty meals you can prepare by your own to help it!

Cheers!
