The Principles of Nuclear Medicine, by Early Sodee. A book that helped me get a job, and a career. Something I like to do in this ugly world.

Firstly, super cool that a world book day exists, even if I'm not responding to this thread on world book day.
Secondly, it's incredibly difficult for me to pick just one book.
If i had to pick just one book i would have to go with the one and only ivan by katherine applegate.
I read it when I was a lot younger, and I'm sure nostalgia is painting it in a much more emotional light than it actually was, but I can't forget how much it made me love reading.

@halffullofhoneyandsunshine - Hey that's cool. I am glad you've responded in general! And I agree for myself: how on Earth do I pick a single book that has influenced me the most ever?! I mean in just typing this right here I've thought of three! 
The actual "World Book Day" is in April. If I remember correctly, April 23rd. (Totally my paraphrase here:) A day set aside to celebrate reading, books, literacy, teachers, libraries!, pages - like physical paper pages (okay yes that was my own). But whichever articles I read (sorry I cannot reference my source/s, I think Wikipedia was one), the focus seemed to be on our ability to read (increasing literacy) and our collective LOVE for books of all kinds!
For "World Book Day 2020," I would love to have a book drive - brand new, used-not quite new, and just plain used. Collect I don't know a #, lots! and mail them to one of those places in US that encourage us to sponsor a child (usually overseas, but not always). Or divide up and mail to many children's hospitals. Just thought of this ... wonder if we could do this somehow with or through 7cups! @7cupsCommunity @hope @heather225 @obs ... its a childrens book i remember being read at school i have always remembered this book and how true to life it is, its worth a read at any age im sure most people will get it!
"The Artist's Way" by Julia Camerson. I was part of an artist's circle and we followed the book guidelines for 10 weeks. Then did it again with other people. It was pivotal for change in my life.
Chaim Potok's The Chosen has always been a favorite of mine. It is a coming of age story of two teenage boys from different backgrounds. I read it years ago and it remains a favorite. Also, the Little House on the Prairie series.

@Jill7. Pride and Prejudice. Gave me a hankering for a long-gone genteel world of perfect English. A trivial world unlike our own. Enhanced my love of the English language. Loved Jane Austen's sense of irony and mischief
