Which self help book or spiritual book has helped you grow the most?
I would love to hear your favorites, and if you choose to share, what you learned from your favorite self help book.
The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz is the book that has influenced me the most!
@AdVictoriam thank you for sharing! I have heard others say the same, so maybe that means I should be reading it.
@adventurousWalker8840 Any Don Miguel Ruiz books are great. The Four Agreements changed my life!

Finding Yourself Literature
I know I haven't been me for quite some time.
I understand we change with time but I don't
Feel like im nothing from that young adult I used to be.
Does anyone know of a good book
Or an exercise I could do to accomplish this?
Thank you.
Depression: Looking Up From the Stubborn Darkness was very insightful if you want a more spiritual take on dealing with depression. I liked it a lot.
@mimameid, hello!
I see you're on the Forum Team. I'd love to work with you to plan a discussion or event about literature. If you could send me a message, that would be awesome.
No matter the situation are in think positive, feed your mind with positive thinking, love joy happiness, and gratitude,
'Women who run with wolves' is such a great spiritual book. A friend suggested this to me as I have issues with confidenceach, loneliness and feeling trapped. This book goes through old folk law stories and talks about how we can learn from these. It's mainly aimed at women but what is says is pretty universal. I recommend this greatly.
@Traveler72 I also wanted to write about this book. I have found it really empowering for young women
@OlgaParis yes completely. I am someone with such low self worth and struggle with embracing my individuality. Found this really empowering
The Bible (NIV)
Yes it's common, it's everywhere, never gave attention until recently and then after a friendly nudge a family friend
I did
But the way I read was different. I wasn't looking for self help in specified chapters or focused on self help at all.(don't misjudge I was perfect- I was given up and given up for good:) )
So I red it like a novel, bookmarking, leisurely, enjoying the stories, crying for stories
Little by little something has happened inside me, there is this knowing, feeling, sense of awareness "I'm okay, I was and will be too" disregard of temporary turmoil
So I think it did
The Way of the Peaceful Warrior. By Dan Millman. Such a wonderfully inspirational book on embracing the moment. Being present. Living for now.
The purpose driven life by Rick warren
Calming the emotional storm.
