December 2018 leadership schedule- ideas requested

We're wrapping up November and looking to see how best to support you in December. Now that we've had a few weeks to test out our new meeting style we want to get some ideas of things you would like to see. See November's meeting announcement and schedule here.

We've heard you as far as having an easier way to RSVP and add meetings to your schedule and will work to make that piece easier. Thanks in advance for your ideas!

Hi Jill,
I would love to see what room we should be in for the meetings posted on the master meeting post. I am also starting to brain storm some ideas and thinking about what other teams might like to buddy up with 35+ to work on some things together. It would also be nice to know in advance like 2 or 3 months out different things folks are working on or themes/focus of ideas to see if other teams would like to get involved also so when announcements go out, they are a lot cleaner.
It's been quite a while since the mega members have gotten together, and I think it would be good to have a meeting, see how we fit with some of the changes that have happened/upcoming changes. I also think there are issues with some permissions, like one profile appears to be listed as an adult but according to info they shared are a teen (I mentioned this before, but never saw any changes made).
I don't think there were any official changes to which admins we work with either. For the chat rooms it's obvious that Kate has taken over for Heather, but I know some were assigned with Iara or Amelia and I don't know who the updates are (maybe they were told though).
@AffyAvo @kate took over Iara as teen community manager and heather as group support manager. Amelias roles got spilt between a few people. They is a post somewhere I believe but gone into the depths of the dark dungeon.

Oh Yes Fluffy I think that is one of the main points I want to raise. I am very active in the forums, I know my way around well, but I cannot find posts sometimes? Are they in Kates Cove or Mentor or Listener or Kitchen Table or Announcements or Community News or or or . . .
The problem I see wth the new alerts, which I believe is the reason for the very low attendance and cancellation of some meetings, is that we need to look at that page to see them? With the old email system it was far easier to keep track of the meetings and refer back to the email.
Now I know that we are keeping everything on site now and not using email alerts but, maybe then we need a main page of collated alerts or something?

I like that idea.
Jill, what about a column on the master post each month with a link to main forum info about that meeting and a link to the minutes which would be a lot easier for all of us to find?
@fluffyUnicorns84 But what about the feed aspect, did Kate take that over too? Would just be kind of nice to keep us all in the loop of who is doing what.

@AffyAvo While I want this, maybe Dec isn't the month to fit in a small team that hasn't met for quite some time. January MegaMember meeting?
@AffyAvo what is a mega member its something few of us been confused about for a while
@fluffyUnicorns84 Active members are nominated to join the team. People pick an area based on areas of the site they use heavily (feed, forum or chatrooms and original plan was to work with Iara, Laura and Heather; respectively and the teens were with Amelia).
We were expected to focus on our own needs about half the time.
In addition to the specific areas there have been a few specific things we have given feedback for before changes occured. I feel and was not alone in this that our input could have been asked for more regarding changes, especially as we're coming from the perspective of members seeking support.
The roles really weren't formalized. I have just done a few things on my own, for example the post about how to handle imposter accounts and the rooms list which I'm horribly far behind on getting up to date 
I think some of the others have done similar things, although I won't speak to what others considered to be a part of the member mega roll that they just picked up.
Some of us have gotten together before to brainstorm, discuss some ideas, etc.
@AffyAvo many roles was abandonned long time ago, but the badges still remaining, i think its case of mega member. we still have the badges, but mega member role is no longer something it seems. they totally forgot about us.
@TortueDesBois I do put a bug in some of the admins' ears from time to time too keep us in mind. I'm going to start a thread over in the Mega Member section - get some thought processes going on before we (hopefully) have a meeting.

I know for 35+ and 50 plus we have had forum postings asking for ideas. If you think for those 2 groups a meeting would also help let us know and we can do that.
@DanaMH I think the SC bubble is probably good enough for that, but if others want a meeting I don't mind going to one.

I would really encourage a better RSVP and calendar... the email system was much better too.
