New Mentor Leaders!
Hello Wonderful Community,
This post has been a long time coming & I want to give a big thank you to everyone for their patience! Without further delay, I am very very excited to announce that we have some new mentor leaders joining our team today!
@MichaelMichael - Chatroom Mentor Leader
Michael has been a dedicated community member at 7 cups for over a year! Since joining the mentor team, we've watch him grow and develop strong connections with all of you. He will be doing what he does best in this new role, supporting our chatrooms by adding culture, love and connection building to them! In addition to his work in the chatrooms, he has brought more structure to our reviews team, which has aided in better functionality and communication amongst the group. We are thrilled to have him in this new role!
@Anomalia - Forum Mentor Leader
Anomalia joined our community and dove right in. From the moment she joined, she deeply understood what our community was about and naturally began offering her skills in dynamic ways. In addition to bringing more visibility to our suggestion boxes (which is no easy task), she brings her passion to our forums. In this role, she will continue to work with our forum mentor team to bring more structure and love to our forums!
@Luka - Chat Room Mentor Leader
Ah, the wonderful Luka! After becoming a mentor, Luka really dove right in! He saw a problem in the community and he tackled it head on. He is a problem solver who brings joy, friendship and love to our chatrooms. In this role, he will continue to work with our chat room mentors to build a supportive, loving and kind environment for every listener!
@JaceofSpades - Chat Room Mentor Leader
Jace has been a member of our community for a long time. I have personally seen her grow and develop into an incredible young person who I am honored to invite to join our chat room mentor leader team. She has communicated with many of you, helped you through difficult community situations, answered questions and been on hand to simply be there for our entire listener community. She has overcome challenges with grace and bravery. She never gives up. In this role, she will continue to be a force in the listener chatrooms.
@MonBon - Forum Mentor Leader
Monbon has been a dedicated listener and community member for over a year. She has a deep passion for the 7 Cups community and more specifically, our forums. She will be taking on the role of forum mentor leader to help bring more structure and love to our forums. She is a team player and works well with her peers.
@Acinonyx - Chat Room Mentor Leader
We are excited to invite Nyx to be a mentor leader. In her time as a mentor, Nyx has supported many of you in your quest to become awesome listeners. In addition to being a thoughtful & engaging chatroom mentor, Nyx brings her natural problem solving skills to her work at 7 Cups. Her creative thinking has helped us solve challenging problems which advance the community.

Wow, is this much awesomeness in one thread even legal? I couldn't resist sending each of you a little message because I'm ridiculously excited about these nominations and you've all been a huge part of my 7cups journey so here goes!

Nyxy McNyxatron! I had the pleasure of being there in LSR right from the start of your 7cups journey and boy have we had some fun times together in between all of the hard work! You are such an incredible example to all, you epitomize everything a mentor should be, and under your guidance and leadership the chatroom mentor track is bound to thrive! Thank you for every single minute you've invested in this site, your commitment from the listener chatrooms to group support and everything in between has been amazing - the sun was certainly shining down on 7cups the day you joined! Keep that whacky of sense of humour going and nothing can possibly go wrong!

Ano, it's been so great getting to know you. You have an amazing understanding of the community as well as the mission and values of 7cups. Not only does your professionalism shine through but you put 150% into everything you do and seem to have so much fun along the way. The way you organized the Listener Suggestion box into what I can only describe as the world's most aesthetically pleasing PowerPoint presentation ever, is extraordinary - you are very talented and your attention to detail is incredible. You also came just at the right time when the Forum was needing some love, thank you for everything you do and I can't wait to see you working your magic in the future!

Jacey Jacester, this is one of my favourite mentor leader noms ever! No one can ever question your commitment and love for this community. Your stats alone are extraordinary but more than that your empathy, love, support, professionalism and great sense of humour just make you an off-the-scale amazing mentor and friend. I know you've been through some tough times on your 7cups journey but you have risen above those times like a boss and how you've reflected, grown and refused to be knocked down is incredible - you are such an inspiration to me, and I'm sure many others. Go forth and conquer, and never stop believing in yourself.

Lukalicious! My fellow ice-cream lover! Every now and then you get a new listener join the chatroom and you know right from the start they're something special. That was definitely you. It's been awesome to watch you grow and develop from new listener, to Peer Supporter, to Mentor and now Mentor Leader. You've shown amazing commitment and been a wonderful support to me too in the chatrooms, and you're incredibly humble. Whilst I know that this nomination took you a little by surprise, since you're one of the newer mentors, it was very well-deserved. Your support, help and advice, as well as your compassion and empathy make you a very valuable member of this community and you will no doubt be an exceptional leader.

Mikey, what more can I say, you are my wingman, my pun-off partner, and The Modfather of the Listener Support Rooms! You are a true example of how it's all about the role and not the badge - you have been working a mentor leader role for so long and this reward is long overdue so I'm absolutely ecstatic that this time has finally come. I have no doubt that you will be incredibly successful in this role because you are a strong leader, an amazing communicator, an exceptional mod and you are very well loved! Thank you for your commitment and professionalism but also for bringing your brilliant sense of humour and fun-loving nature to the role.

Monbon, we haven't spent nearly as much time together as I would have liked! Time zones can be a jerk! But the time I have spent with you in the chat room has been an absolute pleasure. You are full of kindness and your support is incredible but you are also a huge amount of fun and I would jump at the opportunity to work on any project with you. You have been a member of this community for a very long time, you have firmly integrated yourself and you're massively loved. You're going to be awesome in the forums, and I can't wait to see how things grow and develop with you at the helm.

Aw thanks people for saying nice things! And exactly what Lia said - I am super happy to be joining the ML team at the same time as a group of people I respect a lot and I'm fond of. @JaceofSpades @Anomalia @Luka @MonBon and @Acinonyx I feel like I'm part of an awesome little generation here with you five!
