Hi All,
Want to clear up some misinformation and set the record straight on appropriate communication methods between volunteer teams.
- Under no circumstance should teens and adults be using Google dashboards (and the chat feature within them) to communicate. All communications are required to happen on 7 Cups! This is true for ALL age groups, but VITAL for teen & adult communication in particular.
- CM staff members must have access to your dashboards in case we need to review information on the team or step in to help if a leader becomes inactive.

- Should we be adding people to dashboards by email?
- It feels like we been encouraged to have subcommunity dashboard and this include, all aspects of the subcom including forum and group support, check ins etc. Should we still have 2 subcoms dashboards one for teens and one for adults?
- Do you think that it would be possible in the future to have a system where application forms, etc are able to be onsite?
Of course it's possible to have application forms, shared documents, etc. onsite. It's just that (presumably) there are other priorities. But that would not solve the problem of teen/adult communication.
For example, if an adult owns a form with a comment field, and a teen makes a comment, then the teen has communicated in private with the adult. This can already happen using Google forms. Bringing those forms onsite would make no difference.

Can non ATLs ever post a link to one of those tools/edit a link that has been posted?
Links are sometimes removed. So imagine I have posted a link to a document. People visit that link. The link is removed from the forums. I make edits, a teen has saved the link and can now see the changes. The communication is only going one way if I'm the only one who can edit. If editing capabilities are open (I think many spreadsheets have been like that here in the past?) we can now communicate through that.
Also, why the change? It seems like even admin has been encouraging use of such tools since I have been here. Something I can think of that is semi-recent was one of the earlier wiki spreadsheet I think both teens and adults were using and I think Laura started the sheet.

I hope it's not offensive to @laura but I think I'm speaking out how I feel and maybe others feel similar:
With most announcements like this one I get the feeling the faces of 7 cups we most often communicate with are sent out as messengers. When we get no answers it's because they are not allowed to answer without discussing it with whoever is in charge. It's not transparent decisions happen.
I'm a bit disappointed with the last adult meetings. I feel the communication haooend in a way that leaves us with impression of meetings in terms of live public announcements.
It's understandable there is hierarchy. It just would be nice if communication happens earlier and less in a way of "this will happen. Questions?" And more in a "we have this idea. What's your feedback? Ok thank you. We will discuss your suggestions."
@Laura @Jill7cups I feel like this still needs more clarification. Things were explained about the SC dashboards, but I feel like things that have come up since then are contradictory to this plus the tools that we may use with both age groups hasn't been explained.
- Is the above not open to both teens and adults? Why is that ok, but we can't have adults and teens using the same spreadsheet elsewhere?
- What are the rules regarding forms?
