Happy National Coffee Day!
National Coffee Day celebrates the diversity, quality and passion of the coffee sector. It's an opportunity for enthusiasts to share their love of this beverage and support the millions of farmers whose livelihoods depend on this aromatic plant.
The origins of coffee:
🤎No one knows exactly how or when coffee was discovered, although there are many legends about its origins.
🤎According to legend, Kaldi, a goatherd from the Ethiopian highlands, noticed that after eating the berries of a certain tree, his goats became so energetic that they could no longer sleep at night.
🤎Kaldi reported his findings to the abbot of the local monastery. The latter prepared a drink from the berries and found that it kept him awake during the long hours of evening prayer. The abbot shared his discovery with the other monks of the monastery, and knowledge of the energizing berries began to spread.
🤎As word spread eastward and coffee reached the Arabian Peninsula, a journey began that would take these beans all over the world.
🤎Later, many countries around the world celebrate their own national coffee days on various dates throughout the year.
Benefits of drinking coffee:
📜 According to a study published by Harvard University, coffee can also help fight depression and generally make people happier.
📜Coffee can help burn fat because it's considered a calorie-free beverage when drunk black, without milk or sugar.
📜Coffee is believed to be the largest source of antioxidants in the Western diet.
📜Coffee also contains a number of important nutrients, including niacin, magnesium (vitamin B3), potassium, manganese, pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and riboflavin (vitamin B2).
📜Coffee has also been shown to dramatically increase physical performance.

How a nice, appreciative recognition to coffee, which gets so much bad press nowadays, including in Cups, for increasing stress and insomnia...
It's all about moderation...
I think the story is mostly true. Coffee does originate from the Ethiopian highlands. Most distinct flavors and tastes of plants are due to toxins to protect them from predators. Troubling goats in this case. We, humans, have the most complete collection of anti-toxins of all animals. The ultimate omnivores.

- My favorite dessert is Tiramisu, which has a strong coffee flavor (and content)

You're right about moderation, as long as it's not too late?🤔 I've avoided caffeine consumption as much as possible for personal reasons. I love tea so much but it was a difficult decision, I could easily give up coffee but not tea. Anyway, I think coffee has many benefits. My partner loves coffee, so I make him coffee from time to time. Sometimes I use coffee grounds to make body scrubs, and occasionally I buy handmade coffee soaps. They smell so good 😍

Yum-Yum! Tiramisu is a dessert that evokes nostalgia. My aunt, who is Italian, makes really good tiramisu. The best I've eaten in my life to date.

I went to Dunkin’ Donuts and got myself and iced coffee with coconut milk and pumpkin cold foam . With a tomato pesto grilled cheese sandwich which was great !

I actually like that. I've seen and heard this pun more often than the others I've found in the "clue".
@Helpingheart23 it's actually pretty good. The mint is mild so its not over powering and the hot chocolate makes the coffee sweet and smoother - lol I'm not sure how to describe it. Starbucks probably has a fancy name for something like it lol! 😋
