This quote by Marcus Aurelius has gotten me through quite a lot:

This is my favourite quote because I can personally relate to it. Some parents say stuff like, "I pay for your food, clothing, schooling etc. So you have to obey me" or things like, "I do everything for you, but you don't study or do anything for me". It's the sad reality of many kids and teenagers out there. When i read this quote, I felt like, this quote understood me more than my own parents did. So, that's why this is my most favourite quote.
