Hello fellow listeners and members! This week's graduate for dinner is our very own, @competentParadise6344! Paradise is a newly minted LDP graduate. Paradise has been on 7 Cups as a listener since April 2020 and holds many roles in the community! They are an Academy Mentor, Chatroom Mentor, Community Mentor, and even Quality Mentor. They have also been an mentor with the LDP team for quite some time. You have probably seen them hosting AMAs or reaching out for your progress reports. We are very grateful for Para!!

What was on the menu? Spring Rolls!

Here's what they had to say:

What made you join the LDP?

I thought LDP was a good refresher on leadership! I heard great reviews about LDP and I also work as a LDP Mentor. So it made a lot of sense for me to actually complete the program.

How was your experience doing the coursework?

The coursework is awesome! The discussion questions and the activities associated with the discussions are really helpful.

Did you find it easy to navigate through the forums for each course?

The forums for LDP courses are easy to navigate, I like the fact that each post ends with instructions for the trainees.

How did you dedicate your time to doing the coursework?

Few days before my acceptance date, I took the time to complete the community building course, which has 9 chapters in total. Furthermore, I also reviewed courses 1 through 4 to get a sense of what's expected.

Which course did you like the most? And why?

I think I like all the courses. They consist of self-reflection, self-awareness in the context of a broader community and leadership in the context of a broader community. All of the courses within the LDP are important components for leadership study.

What role did you get into after the program? How are you liking the role you got into for the LDP?

I got all of my roles before the program actually! So LDP felt like a great refresher on leadership. I highly encourage others who wish to seek leadership roles on 7cups to join the program. It's a comprehensive program that gives you a glimpse into 7 Cups culture.

If you had to give one tip to the current trainees, what would that be?

It's ok to ask questions! No one is expected to know it all and that's the beauty of being a life-long learner. It makes the program more efficient if the trainees are comfortable with being vulnerable on what they do not know as well.

What can we do to make the program better?

I think the program is great! So, maybe more AMA sessions and trainee meetups!

Well, that's about it, thank you for reading till here! And please join me here to give @competentParadise6344 a big shoutout for doing this!

I would love to hear any suggestions/question ideas that I can add to this series. If you are an LDP graduate and would love to contribute, please PM me so we can set up our dinner!
