Dinner With Our Alumni: shiningSound31

Hi all! Hope everyone is doing good! I am back here with another Dinner With Our Alumni interview. This time, it's with @shiningSound31! For those who don't know, Dinner With Our Alumni is a small interview series with Leadership Development Program (LDP) graduates sharing their experience doing the program. The aim is to spread more awareness about the program and hopefully everyone gives it a read!

So, a little about @shiningSound31! They graudated the LDP in September 2020 and have been dedicated to their various roles on 7 Cups ever since. They have majored in engineering and are from India. They are always around to help anyone out and have been a listener with us since June 2018.

What was on the menu? Daal (lentils) and rice!

What made you join the LDP?

I want to learn about the aspects of leadership to be a good leader.

How was your experience doing the coursework?

My experience doing the coursework was excellent. I got immense opportunities for introspection and learnt a lot about myself.

Did you find it easy to navigate through the forums for each course?

Yes, it was easy to navigate through the forums for each course.

How did you dedicate your time to doing the coursework?

On weekdays, I used to dedicate 3-4 hours for the coursework and on weekends, I used to devote 5-6 hours.

Which course did you like the most? And why?

I like all courses as each course provided me an opportunity to learn about myself and about the aspects of leadership.

What role did you get into after the program? How are you liking the role you got into for the LDP?

I get into Peer Support and Room Supporter. I am enjoying my roles.

If you had to give one tip to the current trainees, what would that be?

I would say be honest with your answers and try to complete a certain amount of coursework everyday.

What can we do to make the program better?

I can't think of an answer at this time. The coursework is already awesome.
