Building Community Program Closure
Hi everyone! I hope you have been doing well. The 7 Cups Academy is dedicated to providing our community with programs they have an interest in and can benefit from, to achieve this we frequently audit our existing programs to update them and meet the needs of our trainees/interns better.
In reviewing the Building Community Program we found that the program has not been of great interest to our community, our trainees have found value in elements of the program such as the community building course which can exist separately. Our initial goal in introducing the program was to provide a way for interested people to learn the art of building communities. We have found our community-building course to provide much of that insight while the practical components have not been of much interest. We believe in listening to our community and after much thought we have decided to close the program. The community building course will still exist but the Building Community Program will no longer be available to enroll in.
Maintaining and growing an academy program takes a lot of effort from the leadership perspective and it is very important that the programs we have are useful for the community. Closing this program allows us the energy and time to work on a new program for our community that may be of greater interest. We need your help in figuring what to bring you next! Please recommend a new program here.
All the enrolled trainees of BCP will still get the opportunity to complete their program duration and receive a certificate of completion along with a badge. We will just not be enrolling new trainees into the program. The BCP grad certificates will still be recognized by the academy for requests like a letter of recommendation or Linkedin Verification etc and BCP grads will still be a part of the Academy Alumni Initiatives.

Hi Hope! 
I must say I don't understand the differentation of the two areas and it's not important that I do so as I haven't been a part of the courses. I'm sorry one part hasn't had as many participants! Glad part of it still exists. Building a community is likely an incredibly broad concept. The longer we are here, some of us start to figure out how very big this place truly is. Learn something in one area, it becomes a "highly portable skill" to be transfered all across the platform. (I call it one hand washes the other) It's a beautiful moment when the lightbulb turns on.
Some times a simple attitude about it all is so helpful to build a community, feel a sense of community, get everyone to understand that WE are all playing on the same team and having the US mentality. Team work makes the dream work It's amazing to see people coming together in that spirit and in the spirit of greatness and feeling good about being a part of something bigger than themselves Something I hold strong to is the magic happens here everyday, we either have to look for it or we create it! Abracadra!
I find your comment to be a great leadership moment for all of us to see. No participants in one area, great, we heard you. Lets all pivot and turn and go back the drawing board and use our resources in another way. *high fives*
