Hello everyone,

Well, I cooked noodles for the first time. Those were very easy to make.

What did you make for the first time?

Thanks & Regards

It's been forty years or so, but I believe it was Ramen Noodles the kind in the packet for 25c in the USA.

@Chetan1408  Cupcakes with a yellow cake mix.  I can't remember if the frosting was out of a can or not.  This was about...40 years ago, I guess.  🤣

Wow... 😲 That's a long time ago... I am surprised that you still remember. Haha. Well for me, if it comes to baking, I made muffins which were edible. Before that I made a cake a long time ago which turned into solid brick... haha. That was not edible. That was cooked in my old microwave oven. I made muffins in my new Oven and this time they were like bakery muffins. Soft and fresh. 😄❤️

Thanks & Regards

@Chetan1408  Haha!  About 39 years ago, my second attempt was making everyone breakfast for dinner.  That was a HUGE undertaking!  I made scrambled eggs (which were horribly dry and crumbly), burnt bacon, and brick hard blueberry muffins (measured the baking powder and flour wrong LOL).

Everyone pretended to LOVE my dinner, and I was shocked, because I was nearly in tears, assuming everything was horribly inedible (which it was; they were AMAZING actors!).  I went on to become a recipe developer and amazing cook in my adult life, so I really appreciate my family for that theatre performance.

(Honorable Mention: One of my mother's best friends was an amazing cook, and she had joined us for dinner.  A week later, I said to her, "Ok, I know my dinner was edible, but I did not like it.  How do I make better eggs, bacon, and blueberry muffins?  She explained it all to me, and I got it right the next time I made it.)

I remember how scared I was to ask her, for fear that she would admit they were all acting, but she never said a word about that!  🤣

@Chetan1408  Wow, I was just reflecting on my entire childhood, and you talking about baking your cake brick brought up the only memory of my family being genuinely loving and supportive in a way that actually yielded positive, lasting results in my life.

I had been hung up on 48 years of trauma, and you brought back one very powerful, positive memory that I can focus on any time that I am struggling with the memory of that trauma.

Thank you  so so so much for sharing your experience.  One just never knows the magnitude of positive effect that can result from a small share that seems like a small ripple, but it can, and for me, did, become huge with perfect timing.  ✨🌟

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing!  Wishing you an AMAZING weekend! 🥳,🥳🥳

Aww Sea, I can feel you. Haha. Same happened with me... I was not having proper equipment for measuring things and I made a chocolate cake. It turned to rock hard that even street dogs refused to eat that. And later my family member used to make fun of it and ask me to never make a cake... hahaha... They know my cooking skills. Though I can make egg sandwich very well and egg omelet and scrambled eggs. But I messed up with cake. Even my oven was so powerful that when it works, my whole house MCB drips or the main wire of oven gets heat up a lot. That moment was so epic when I made a cake and I used to make fun of that too as well by saying "That brick is working as a fragrance brick in someone's home." Haha. 😂

The thing I feel is most of the time my family member used to say "Even dogs refused to eat that cake." It is so embarrassed and so funny at the same point... Oh God... I miss those days. 🤣

Thanks & Regards
