A Talk On Self Care With HealingBrokenWings!
Talker: @HealingBrokenWings
What is your idea of spending a balanced time on 7cups? Share your idea of how a good day looks like on 7cups, for you.
Taking care of yourself while still making sure you are fulfilling all of your roles and responsibilities (including taking chats). A good day on cups (for me) tends to involve spending some time in pms, forums, and group chats on my Listener account, then moving to my Member account as needed for personal support. <3
What challenges did you face in trying to strike that balance?
The biggest challenges in finding that balance are my desire to help others and my personal issues. My desire to help others often pushes me to ignore my own needs in an effort to make others feel better, while personal issues sometimes get in the way of being able to help at all (though I’ve gotten much better about both over time). <3
How did you try to deal with those challenges?
At first, I would often just ignore these challenges in an effort to push through the struggles; however, I have learned that it is best to take care of yourself and do what you can when you are feeling well so as not to burn yourself out. <3
What are the benefits of improving your balance for the time you spend on cups?
You can help others (and yourself) better when you have a healthy balance for your cups time. <3
What message would you like to give to the cupsers who have come to be negatively attached to cups, in one of the many ways?
It can be really hard to beat a negative cups attachment, but it can be done! You’ve got this! Take care of you because you can’t pour from an empty cup! <3

We meet again, Clarisse lol, Hey hey! ❤ Thanks for posting another great interview!
Hiyaa Wings, great job on sharing your views on self care and having a healthy balance with 7 cups. I love this series because everyone has something unique to offer in terms of insight, and what works for them. For instance, many people lately have emphasized more on balancing the roles as part of a balanced time in cups which is a great advice, but I'm glad you highlighted the importance of the clear demarcation of when a listener should be on their member account -- we are all human, have our own set of experiences life and it is more than encouraged to also seek support when required, through a member account. Nobody can pour from an empty cup, and then it becomes a fine line difference between being "helpful" and "neglecting our own needs" --- the latter being detrimental to our wellbeing.
I see you being a supportive presence around always, specially in the farewell thread(s) -- it makes alot of difference to be seen, and feel heard, to feel encouraged to take breaks and prioritize self care -- so thankyou for always instilling this hope, you're fantabulous for doing it and for prioritizing your own wellbeing too, being aware of your needs and trying to move past the challenges (which I relate can be super hard at times). You're not alone either and yessss, we got this. ❤

Aw that is so nice to hear hehe, many thanks. Lots of love back, MJ. Can't wait to see you more often around too -- age up soon! 😛❤️
@Clarisse29 - Hi Clarisse! Thank you for another wonderful self-care talk. 😊
@HealingBrokenWIngs - Hi Wings! It's nice to meet you. Awesome job on the interview! I really love your personal perspectives on the matter of self-care, and it's great how you try to be more aware of when you are feeling overwhelmed so that you know when to step back and take a break.
The one focal point of this interview for me was the quote you included: "You can't pour from an empty cup." That is the truth—you need to take care of yourself and refuel your gas tank before you can support others. It takes a lot of energy to empathize and support members during 1-1 chats, so you need to make sure you are at your 110% with regards to the awareness of one's self and abilities.
Thanks again for your great responses, and I hope to see you around the community soon! ❤️
@ThoughtfulBlossom
Hi! Nice to meet you too.
Thank you so much, that's very sweet. Hopefully this helps others find that balance and prioritize their own wellbeing!
Lots of love,

@Clarisse29
Hi. That was a informative post and it totally made sense for me in a lot of ways.
There's one thing I'd like to ask.
As far as a negative attachment to the site goes I'd like to learn more about it. Could you give me a brief explanation or example?
@imaginativePear6493
Hiya! Aw thanks, so glad it could help! <3
Yay questions!! :) So, negative attachment to cups is typically cups addiction. Often, that means feeling as though you are required to log on or interact, or even deny your own needs because of it. Granted this can be caused by other things or involve other things. Anyone that has anything to add, please do!!! <3
Hope this helps!
