alcohol on an anniversary

alcohol is used by many for occasions and celebrations .... it is offered up all the time ... the let me buy you a drink etc ..... some may say it is only one but they are not in your shoes. 

If you have struggled with alcohol does your BF know and if so why would he not encourage you to drink non alcoholic item instead.?    support is important as i found everywhere it seems it seems present. you realized this was mistake and can get past this occurrence.
