7 Hydroxy
I am currently addicted to 7oh. It's a Kratom derivative and it's basically a narcotic. Does anyone else have this problem or know what I'm talking about? It's really gotten bad lately, and I want to quit but finding it hard to stop buying and it's really expensive so it's becoming a bad problem.
I should be thinking about the future and what I'm going to do in a month when I get off probation, and everybody says to stay in the present moment, but if I do that too much then nothing will get done!
If there's anyone out there that can empathize I would really enjoy hearing your story or telling you more about mine.

I'm not familiar with your particular addiction. But there's some things that are common to all addictions.
The first and most important is: You can beat this! It's not easy, but you can. And we can walk along with you as you do it.
The second is don't try and do it alone. Maybe you have already found help, and if you have, great! But if you haven't, do. As you have found, just trying to avoid buying it doesn't work. What normally needs to be identified and resolved is the need behind the addiction and there's lots of options that can help identify that. Your doctor, support groups, therapy..... Find what helps you.
I too struggle to be more in the present. However I think my understanding is a little different to yours, because I don't see it as not getting things done. But in getting things done in a priority order that's more aligned to my priorities, so I'm less stressed about it. I see it as I can either expend energy doing things that are important in the now present, or I can expend energy on things that might or might not need to be done in the future. Or, even worse, expend energy trying to change things that happened in the past. Checking in with the present allows me to check that I'm doing what's actually important to me, and not getting distracted by something I don't really want.
And finally. Expect bad days. Expect the day you relapse. It doesn't mean you have failed, just that more practice is needed to build that new habit.
I hope some of thar helps.
Best wishes.
Thanks so much for the words of encouragement Clio! I really like what you said about identifying the needs behind the habit and not doing it alone. My biggest thing is just self-esteem and believing that I can create a meaningful and fulfilling life even though I've had so many failures in the past. That's where they are, in the past, and I should not focus on that because it can be detrimental too building a good future in the present.
Hi, former heavy kratom user/occasional 7oh user. I’ve started and stopped several times, currently I’m taking suboxone (not ideal) twice a day.
My only advice is finding things that are worth getting clean for. I’ve struggled with c0ke addiction for a few years, but when I’ve had something in my life that I will lose by using it’s been more of a motivator than just for my general betterment.
I know it might not be the answer to your problems but just something I’ve found useful to think about.
That's a great point about finding things that are worth getting clean for... I've also found that it's important to find activities and or people to enrich my life in order to avoid giving myself an excuse to use again. I definitely appreciate you taking the time to help me!

Luckily im current addiction free but it's a daily struggle. Mine wasn't drugs but all addictions have horrible challenges.
Don't know if your religious or not but sending prayer and calming healing vibes your way.
