Do I have a problem?

Hi guys, Im a 22F

Idk if this app or Internet is bugging but tried to post this already but idk 🙃 I suppose id just like to hear what some real addicts think of my situation, any type of response is appreciated. I think I'm fine but I just want a second opinion. Ive never had a problem with weed or alcohol, I don't have an addictive personality with anything, tbf I like uppers more then downers but its not like it'd be every day or anything.

I took my first drug when I was 16 but didn't start taking it frequently until I was like 20, and since it then it's been kinda creeping up on me I suppose.

I only take stuff when I'm out raving I don't really take stuff any other time and so I have friends that do the same but theres been a few times that even they've looked at me funny. I realize I take more then most of them and more frequently and the ones that have been on my level have admitted some type of problem or that they need a break. I think I do need a break because it's just been every week or every second week at least and I'm pretty heavy on the bag when I do go out. The doctors even prescribed me a 6 month prescription for a nasal spray because I'm in so often. I have missed work a lot too. This week has been hard, I don't feel bad I just feel nothing, but I think I like that part too, but I haven't even showered all week and after work I've just been resting with nothing going on in my head so productiveness is suffering but I don't know if that's just me or the drugs.

There has been a few times in the past, only like 3 times ever that I've just felt so awful going to bed that I just wanted to feel okay and took some stuff just to feel good but it's not a habit at all so you can't deem it a problem. Uppers are so harsh on the body I don't think I could even make myself do it every day so I think I'm good and the high is definitely not what it used to be.

I think i should maybe just cut down and learn how to go out to things where I don't take drugs and learn how to have a good time without it. But that feels boring and unfamiliar so I don't know what to do without drugs but it's not what it used to be.

Thank you if you took the time to read! I'm starting a few sessions of therapy in the new year and I don't know if it's worth bringing up, they'll probably just tell me to quit altogether but I don't see that happening either, but I think I need to cut down

Hey hey, sorry to hear you are having this problem. I can relate to it. Im 43 now. I started to do drugs when I went out as a teenager and kept on doing it in my twenties and also in my thirties. Never daily, but weekly or bi weekly like you. The fact that its not daily doesn't mean its not a problem. And feeling nothing is not nice. At least thats my opinion.

I also always thought its normal to do drugs every now and then. But not using anything is the best feeling ever! You really dont need it. And your health deteriorates slowly, something you dont want but are not aware of at your age. Your still young so i hope you will quit it somewhere in your twenties and dont keep going till 42 like I did...
