Relationship Situation/ Suggestions
I have been in a relationship/ situationship with a friend for just over a year now. We moved to a new place together last year, but it has become more unhealthy as time progressed. I don't satusfy her wants and needs and she doesn't satisfy mine either, but we are still good friends.
She doesn't want to take a step back so that we can consider more independence and forward thinking apart from oneanother. I think she'd be better off with someone that can love her and accept all of her instead of imposing as many boundaries as I do, and I would also like either to be single or pursue a healthier relationship after working on myself.
Currently she is financially and emotionally dependent on me and breaking it off even slowly would be a dangerous decision, but staying in this situation is harming our connection and causing strain.
I am open to reading suggestions as I don't want to rely on my own perspective alone 🌸

ooof this sounds tough!
I think the biggest step of you both having An understanding of where each one stands is great! That is huge.
The financially/emotionally dependence you stating is a dangerous situation to move away from…. I think those pieces need to be built to a stronger foundation
These are just suggestions I’m brainstorming for you
-allow someone to save money in effort to getting their own place
-? family/friends to stay with (trust me I know this isn’t always an option)
-therapy?
-support groups?
- getting a new roommate?
@Himetsune
my apologies. She “doesn’t” want to accept it.
You both need to honestly do what gives you happiness, don’t make impulsive decisions. There’s usually someone that doesn’t want the relationship to end but if people aren’t happy it needs to. This may be a road to healing in disguise.
