Battle To Be Forever Clean: Fighting Addiction one day at a time
hello i am new here so i thought i would just start out today talking about why I am here i am going to be 100% transparent about everything hiding has gotten me no where in life and I'm putting my foot down anyway, today i am starting my addiction recovery. for real this time no holding back no holds bard this time so this is what i have to say about it today.
what are you living for – and what’s keeping you from becoming your best self? What do you hunger to read and learn about? What is your drive that keeps you going – and gets you up in the morning?
What kind of passions are buried deep within you? Where do you want to be in five or ten years? What are some important qualities or attributes you are gifted with?
What's keeping me from Becoming my best self is my addiction to porn and masturbation I i get up in the morning for my family and for the people who need me and myself because i deserve so much better then this , my passion is to beat this forever and be able to stand tall and say YES I DID IT with pride.
my Drive is my family because they deserve a huge apology for what I've put them through.
my parents don't deserve to have to deal with this worrying about me all the time, causing them stress my niece deserves better because i HAVE to be a role model for her. I CAN NOT expose her to any of this ever. i would have then failed and the promise i made her at birth is meaningless.
passion buried deep within me seems to be the fight i have still against this no matter how bad it gets no matter what happens i get up and keep fighting because i know this is not who i am this is not who I'm meant to be i am meant to be the person i was when i was young plus the person i am now
I AM
Strong Smart Cunning Artistic fearless considerate caring loving I AM all of that and more, i know this will be something i fight forever but i am ready for that fight. no matter what it takes.
Welcome to the community, @SheIsAfighterXx, being transparent with ourselves is more important than anything else, so yay you for giving this a shot and trying your best to overcome your addiction. ❤
It's really helpful to cater to a "why" that can be used as a motivating fuel in our recovery, so I'm super proud of you for being open to motivation and seeking it from your family, and loved ones, the strongest of them all, right next to your intrinsic motivation to do better and come out of this stronger and better than ever. ❤ You are indeed all that you said and more, you're caring, you're considerate, you are a great role model to your nieces because when they are old enough to understand they'll know what a fighter you've been and how you've journeyed strong in to the person you think they really deserve to know of. Whatever it takes, yes. At your pace always. I'm rooting for you too.❤ Much love and strength your way!
Congratulations on taking the first step toward your addiction recovery 👏 you have the right mindset to become successful during your journey. Remember you are in control of your thoughts and actions, You got this👊
