I got kicked right in the Rejection sensitivity

I was on a support group zoom call and a lady said something about a therapist methods. Then another lady asked her to repeat what she said and I started to guide the first lady by repeating the main idea and the other lady said " wait lest her talk let her talk." And I went into a tailspin and I wanted to leave the meeting right away and apologize and say " sorry I hope I didn't cut anyone off." I didn't type that but I did leave right away and I am still fighting with self doubt and self pity and not feeling safe. I even feel like my cat is rejecting me. 😭I hate it, but I know if I except it and feel it and don't stuff it on it probably won't last as long and it won't make me depressed.

@GabrielThinker

I understand that the situation felt stressful for you. When we’re sensitive, it’s normal to feel these emotions. You didn’t do anything wrong — you weren’t interrupting anyone; you were simply trying to help. Nobody has rejected you, and your cat isn’t rejecting you either; it’s just her personality. The meeting is over, and you’re completely safe now. You are strong enough to share your viewpoint, and the most important acceptance is your own. You deserve your love and care, so be gentle with yourself.

@GabrielThinker It makes sense that the comment caught you off guard, but it doesn’t sound like you did anything wrong. You were just trying to help clarify. Moments like that can trigger old patterns of self-doubt, but they don’t define who you are. Leaving the call doesn’t mean you’re unsafe or rejected; it just means you felt overwhelmed. It’s good that you’re aware of your feelings rather than pushing them down. Letting yourself feel them without judging yourself can help the intensity pass more quickly. Be gentle with yourself. You’re human, you cared, and that’s okay!

I find it helpful to remember I'm always feeling my thinking, not my circumstances. You might want to try imagining those thoughts as clouds in the sky, and simply let them dissipate and disappear ...
