My ex boyfriend has ADD

Hi! My boyfriend broke up with me a week ago. He's depressed because he no longer has interast in anything including me. And he can't explain why. I always knew he has ADD but I understand now that it played a bigger hand in our relationship than he ever explained, or even knows himself. Especially since now I'm certain he hyperfixated and love bombed me at the beginning when I was something new and the second we got into a rountine, he lost interast. He claims he still cares for me and wants to be friends but I need to know where I go from here. I'd LOVE some more specific advice, especially from a male perspective on what I should do.

So hi, I know this thread is old and maybe not even answered anymore. The thing with ADD/ADHD and the whole spectrum of relationships with those who fall onto that spectrum are very very.... Difficult. I have a guy friend who has ADD and we've had a very strong friendship for about... Going on Four years now. While it is true that I can't give you advice as to what to do, and maybe you already have done something. Love bombing isn't exactly something those w/ ADD do intentionally. What's happening with a new relationship is a hit of Dopamine, those w/ ADD/ADHD tend to lack a regulator for that. So when you met, everything was new and shiny. He wasn't intentionally love bombing but was probably hyper fixated. However, im not gonna claim that it may not have looked that way, if you fall into the neurotypical side of things. Understand that for the future, if you run into those w/ ADD/ADHD. There is often, required, a degree of patience in the relationships. Especially to have a long term relationship w/ Someone of that caliber, you must be Willing to be patient and also have a firm understanding of the person in front of you. I cannot tell you what to do, but I can say, be Willing to try and shift your perspective, based on the fact that ADD is and was a factor.
