Ashamed of How I Feel

I've been struggling extra the past week or two with my anxiety.  Lots of morning anxiety as soon as I wake up.

Things, in general, are okay for me.  I have food, clothing and shelter. All of my family members are still alive as I write this.  No one is in danger.  Many are having good things happen.  But this anxiety I'm feeling, the unknowns, the what ifs - they're causing me so much exhaustion and suffering right now.  And I feel guilty for it.

I have a friend that has gone through so much over the past almost ten years - I mean, she has had so much stress, so many burdens, so much heartache.  And yet, she has figured out a way to concentrate on herself, do nice things for herself, and enjoy the life she has.  When we talk, my problems are so insignificant. I feel guilty that I'm complaining about these little things to her.

I wish I could just "get over it" and move on and not feel like this anymore.  I know so many more people have a lot worse things going on and I have a bunch of imagined problems that I can't seem to unimagine.

I'm struggling today. I don't know how to be happy, I'm tired of anxiety and I'm ashamed for making so much out of such little, unimportant things.

Hey… I just want to say that I see you. What you're feeling right now is heavy, and even if it doesn't seem “justified” to you, it's still real. Pain doesn’t need to be compared or measured to be valid it just is And your pain, your anxiety, your struggle… they matter.

You’re not weak, and you’re not selfish for feeling this way. You're human. Anxiety doesn’t care how "good" things might look on the outside it sneaks in, it clings to the quiet moments, and it drains you. It’s not your fault. The guilt you feel? That's anxiety, too lying to you, making you believe you don’t deserve support, compassion, or space to not be okay.

And about your friend yes, she may be strong, but so are you. You’re still here, still waking up every day and facing the world even when it feels like your heart is carrying a thousand pounds of invisible weight. That’s strength too. It doesn’t have to look like victory or joy it can look like getting through one moment at a time.

You’re allowed to struggle. You’re allowed to feel overwhelmed. And you’re allowed to give yourself grace without comparing your pain to someone else’s. You don’t have to “get over it.” You just have to be gentle with yourself as you move through it.

You’re doing better than you think. And I’m proud of you for reaching out, for naming your pain, and for being real about where you are. That takes bravery.

You're not alone in this, even when your mind tells you otherwise. You're loved. You're worthy. And you're allowed to rest.

Hey, I’m sorry I can’t do much other than say nice words. But I would like to tell you that you are not alone, I feel the same way you feel. What you’re feeling is not incurable. You are a strong person. You and I, and many others are all in this together. Remember, your struggles are not in vain. I’m new to this app but there’s some way u can talk to me about it go ahead… I’m also looking for someone to talk to.
