I always felt like I had anxiety. But I never thought I had the right to feel like thay or even talk about it. Could you guys tell me how does it feel like? What's your experience?

(I don't like doctors so I never really tried to take a test)

@Lina546 it's not exactly a test to take, anxiety is more of a nrevous fear. It's something that prevents you from doing other things, like going out, or being around crowds. It makes you panic when your in a situation like that. It's very difficult to live with. I hope that helps you understand a bit more ❤

But how do I know if that's just the normal thing for me to feel or if it was anxiety?

@Lina546 to know better you would have to describe a few situations, when you felt theese ways. You would have to do the same with your doctor if you want to of course. But there is help, and your health is important, you do have the right to talk and express yourself ❤

You feel helpless and you feel like you can’t do anything about it. Like your lost in the woods or something and no one can find you. No one can save you and no one can help you. You feel very trapped I mean in the back of your mind you know none of this is true. Some people may even want to pick at their own skin. Some people experience panic attacks it feels like your heart is beating hard. You feel like you can breath well and you’re nervous. You can cry and it feels like it’s gonna last forever. Some people can’t sleep well at night. Weighted blankets are wonderful for this I would try the smallest weighted one I could find. I believe it’s 5 pounds? You wouldn’t think that helps but it’s very calming.

It’s all a mind play thing and you really have to tell yourself it’s okay, It’s good to talk to someone in that state of mind for assurance. A counselor a friend a family or just talk to someone to distract yourself. Go do a activity.

Everything is fine anxiety does not rule you. If you are still feeling horrible and you just can’t take it anymore on a daily basis please get help. You can get through it.

Physically, your blood pressure may also increase dramatically. I usually have low blood pressure, However, during the last visit to my doctor's office, my blood pressure was around 169. At home, it went back down to 112.

Yes exactly! I had to write things when I went to the hospital in that state and I couldn’t. My vision was so blurry and disoriented it was like I’m drowning.

To me, it feels like constantly being in a state of fight or flight. Like today, I literally couldn’t wait to leave work because my anxiety was through the roof. I was tense and jumpy all day. I believe there are different levels to anxiety though. I was probably a 9 today on a scale from 1-10. 3/4 is maybe a good day…

@Lina546

For me, my experience with anxiety starts with the never endless worrying and stressing over the simple things too overthinking.  Then when my mind can't take it anymore.  They physical effect is that I can't breathe.  Like I am running out of air.  And my friends would tell me to take slow deep breathe and relax.  Then I can breathe normally again.

But anxiety also affects my sleep.  It's hard to fall asleep with so many thoughts and worries running in my mind.
