Anxiety
I am just writing to clear head. I’m not necessarily looking for advice. 😊
I have had severe social anxiety my entire life. Most all social situations are extremely challenging. I had to change jobs a year ago, which has increased the level of interaction I’ve had with others. Honestly, it’s been awful. I feel like I need help learning to communicate with others on a professional level—including feeling comfortable with small talk.
This is just one issue that I’m currently dealing with. If I started seeing a therapist now, it would probably take a full year to unpack everything I’m going through. Honestly, that feels exhausting. So, I haven’t explored therapy yet.
Thank you for listening. 🤍
It's important to clear your head and express yourself. Dealing with severe social anxiety can be tough, especially in professional settings. Feeling uncomfortable with small talk and communication adds extra stress. While therapy may feel daunting, it can provide valuable support. Remember to be kind to yourself and prioritize self-care.

Hey buddy, how have you been doing?
I can get how difficult it is, specially when the anxiety affects our work life. But, you're doing great so far. Visiting therapist can be a big step, take your time and see what best fits your situation.
You can also think about ways you can do, and tiny steps to take to overcome the anxiety little by little, like talking or saying hello to people. Or chit chats as you mentioned. It will grow on you during time, and I promise it'll get better.
You're more than welcome to stick around in forums, groups, and 1 on 1 s here as well!
Wish you a happy day, and even a happier life 💚
